xusuuso markuu kor yelay nabi ibraahim tiirarka kaebada iyo nabi ismaaeiil iyagoo leh eebow naga aqbal adaa waxna maqla waxna oge,
and (remember) when ibrahim (abraham) and (his son) isma'il (ishmael) were raising the foundations of the house (the ka'bah at makkah), (saying), "our lord! accept (this service) from us. verily! you are the all-hearer, the all-knower."

waxaa beeniyey xaqan iyaga ka hor qoomkii (nabi) nuux iyo (reer) caad iyo fircoonkii tiirarka lahaa.
before them (were many who) belied messengers, the people of nuh (noah); and 'ad; and fir'aun (pharaoh) the man of stakes (with which he used to punish the people),

waxaa wax dhagray kuwii ka horreeyey markuu eebe (amarkiisii) uga yimid xagga asaaska (tiirarka) waxaana kaga dumay saanqaafkii korkooda wuxuuna uga yimid cadaab meelayan ogayn.
indeed those before them had plotted, so allah seized the foundations of their building, therefore the roof fell down upon them from a height, and the punishment came upon them from a place they did not know.
