my rolmedel is my ma, my mom brings about a positive change in me. she is someone that i always share my dreams and struggles with. if i didn’t do well at school i share with her my frustrations immediately before my teacher brings it to her attention because if i don’t she will be angry with me as we share a lot together. my mom supports me always with everything. one of the other most important things that i have learnt from her is that she is proactive and plans ahead. if for instance we have to take a trip for a long holiday she plans ahead, start packing in advance. we never travel together and find ourselves stranded because maybe we left something behind i also learnt to cook and bake from her. she loves the kitchen so much and we always try new recipes together. she taught me to clean my room and tidy my working and playing station at all times. she says cleanliness is next to godliness. my mom is very strict and she is straight forward. if she doesn’t like something that i didn’t do well she will tell me there and there. sometimes she is harsh and i really feel bad because some of the action that i do wrong is not intentional. my mom is a prayer warrior. when she wakes up and last thing before we sleep we have prayer time as a family. she takes me by the hand to church all the time. i learnt how to pray myself at a very early age. i am thankful to have a mom like her my mom is an active runner and jogger. every morning during lockdown she will wake me so we take a walk together. she says a healthy mind in a healthy body keeps one young and fit. we hike together most of the time at groenkloof nature reserve and i find it most exciting. every month my mom take part in one of the organised races by agsa i don’t know what it means i see it in her papers. there is two or three of them that we do together. i will run my 1km dash and finish, she will be so proud of me, is because i learnt from her that if you start something you must finish it .she motivates me all the time . i love my mom.
