አላህም ቀጠሮውን በፍጹም የማይጥስ ሲሆን በቅጣት ያቻኩሉሃል ፡ ፡ እጌታህም ዘንድ አንዱ ቀን ከምትቆጥሩት ( ቀን ) እንደ ሺሕ ዓመት ነው ፡ ፡

each one of them wishes to live a thousand years . but his prolonged life will surely not remove him from the punishment .
ከሰዎችም ሁሉ ከእነዚያም ( ጣዖትን ) ከአጋሩት ይበልጥ በሕይወት ላይ የሚጓጉ ኾነው በእርግጥ ታገኛቸዋለህ ፡ ፡ አንዳቸው ሺሕ ዓመት ዕድሜ ቢሰጥ ይወዳል ፡ ፡ እርሱም ዕድሜ መሰጠቱ ከቅጣት የሚያርቀው አይደለም ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ተመልካች ነው ፡ ፡

and allah fails not his promise . and verily , a day with your lord is as a thousand years of what you reckon .
አላህም ቀጠሮውን በፍጹም የማይጥስ ሲሆን በቅጣት ያቻኩሉሃል ፡ ፡ እጌታህም ዘንድ አንዱ ቀን ከምትቆጥሩት ( ቀን ) እንደ ሺሕ ዓመት ነው ፡ ፡

( worship ) on the night of destiny is better than ( worship ) for a thousand months .
መወሰኛይቱ ሌሊት ከሺሕ ወር በላጭ ናት ፡ ፡

when you sought aid from your lord , so he answered you : i will assist you with a thousand of the angels following one another .
ከጌታችሁ ርዳታን በፈለጋችሁ ጊዜ « እኔ በሺህ መላእክት ተከታታዮች ሲኾኑ እረዳችኋለሁ » ሲል ለናንተ የተቀበላችሁን ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

and recall what time ye implored our lord and he answered you : verily i am about to succour you with a thousand of angels rank in rank .
ከጌታችሁ ርዳታን በፈለጋችሁ ጊዜ « እኔ በሺህ መላእክት ተከታታዮች ሲኾኑ እረዳችኋለሁ » ሲል ለናንተ የተቀበላችሁን ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

he directs all affairs from heaven to earth . then all will again ascend to him on a day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure .
ነገሩን ሁሉ ከሰማይ ወደ ምድር ያዘጋጃል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ከምትቆጥሩት ( ዘመን ) ልኩ ሺህ ዓመት በሆነ ቀን ውስጥ ወደርሱ ይወጣል ( ይመለሳል ) ፡ ፡

and we certainly sent noah to his people , and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years , and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers .
ኑሕንም ወደ ሕዝቦቹ በእርግጥ ላክነው ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም ሺህ ዓመትን አምሳ ዓመት ሲቀር ተቀመጠ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በዳዮች ኾነውም የውሃው ማጥለቅለቅ ያዛቸው ፡ ፡

and certainly we sent nuh to his people , so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years . and the deluge overtook them , while they were unjust .
ኑሕንም ወደ ሕዝቦቹ በእርግጥ ላክነው ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም ሺህ ዓመትን አምሳ ዓመት ሲቀር ተቀመጠ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በዳዮች ኾነውም የውሃው ማጥለቅለቅ ያዛቸው ፡ ፡

he governs from the heaven to the earth and then the record ( of this governance ) goes up to him in a day whose measure is a thousand years in your reckoning .
ነገሩን ሁሉ ከሰማይ ወደ ምድር ያዘጋጃል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ከምትቆጥሩት ( ዘመን ) ልኩ ሺህ ዓመት በሆነ ቀን ውስጥ ወደርሱ ይወጣል ( ይመለሳል ) ፡ ፡

and indeed we sent nooh to his people – he therefore stayed with them for a thousand years , less fifty ; so the flood seized them , and they were unjust .
ኑሕንም ወደ ሕዝቦቹ በእርግጥ ላክነው ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም ሺህ ዓመትን አምሳ ዓመት ሲቀር ተቀመጠ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በዳዮች ኾነውም የውሃው ማጥለቅለቅ ያዛቸው ፡ ፡

however , you will find them the greediest of all men , even more than the pagans , for life . they would each gladly live for a thousand years , but such a long life would not save them from the torment .
ከሰዎችም ሁሉ ከእነዚያም ( ጣዖትን ) ከአጋሩት ይበልጥ በሕይወት ላይ የሚጓጉ ኾነው በእርግጥ ታገኛቸዋለህ ፡ ፡ አንዳቸው ሺሕ ዓመት ዕድሜ ቢሰጥ ይወዳል ፡ ፡ እርሱም ዕድሜ መሰጠቱ ከቅጣት የሚያርቀው አይደለም ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ተመልካች ነው ፡ ፡

and assuredly we sent nuh unto his people . then he tarried among them for a thousand years , save tifty years ; and then deluge overtook them , while they were wrong-doers .
ኑሕንም ወደ ሕዝቦቹ በእርግጥ ላክነው ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም ሺህ ዓመትን አምሳ ዓመት ሲቀር ተቀመጠ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በዳዮች ኾነውም የውሃው ማጥለቅለቅ ያዛቸው ፡ ፡

and thou wilt find them greediest of mankind for life and ( greedier ) than the idolaters . ( each ) one of them would like to be allowed to live a thousand years .
ከሰዎችም ሁሉ ከእነዚያም ( ጣዖትን ) ከአጋሩት ይበልጥ በሕይወት ላይ የሚጓጉ ኾነው በእርግጥ ታገኛቸዋለህ ፡ ፡ አንዳቸው ሺሕ ዓመት ዕድሜ ቢሰጥ ይወዳል ፡ ፡ እርሱም ዕድሜ መሰጠቱ ከቅጣት የሚያርቀው አይደለም ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ተመልካች ነው ፡ ፡

he plans ( all ) the job ( s ) from the heaven to the earth – then it will return to him on the day which amounts to a thousand years in your count .
ነገሩን ሁሉ ከሰማይ ወደ ምድር ያዘጋጃል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ከምትቆጥሩት ( ዘመን ) ልኩ ሺህ ዓመት በሆነ ቀን ውስጥ ወደርሱ ይወጣል ( ይመለሳል ) ፡ ፡

[ remember ] when you asked help of your lord , and he answered you , " indeed , i will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels , following one another . "
ከጌታችሁ ርዳታን በፈለጋችሁ ጊዜ « እኔ በሺህ መላእክት ተከታታዮች ሲኾኑ እረዳችኋለሁ » ሲል ለናንተ የተቀበላችሁን ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

0 prophet ! urge the believers unto fighting . if there be twenty of you persevering , they will overcome two hundred , and if there be of you a hundred , they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve , for they are a people who understand not .
አንተ ነቢዩ ሆይ ! ምእምናንን በመዋጋት ላይ አደፋፍራቸው ፡ ፡ ከእናንተ ውስጥ ሃያ ታጋሾች ኖሩ ሁለት መቶን ያሸንፋሉ ፡ ፡ ከእናንተም መቶ ቢኖሩ ከእነዚያ ከካዱት እነሱ የማያውቁ ሕዝቦች ስለኾኑ ሺህን ያሸንፋሉ ፤
