« አላህን ተገዙት ፣ ፍሩትም ፣ ታዘዙኝም በማለት ፤ ( አስጠንቃቂ ነኝ ) ፡ ፡

and that you should serve me ; this is the right way .
ተገዙኝም ፤ ይህ ቀጥተኘ መንገድ ነው ፤ ( በማለትም ) ፡ ፡

so that you should not transgress the measure .
በሚዛን ( ስትመዝኑ ) እንዳትበድሉ ፡ ፡

" that you should worship allah ( alone ) , be dutiful to him , and obey me ,
« አላህን ተገዙት ፣ ፍሩትም ፣ ታዘዙኝም በማለት ፤ ( አስጠንቃቂ ነኝ ) ፡ ፡

and i will guide you to your lord so that you should fear .
« ወደ ጌታህም ልመራህ ትፈራውም ዘንድ ፤ ( መንገድ አለህን ? ) » አለው ፡ ፡

and surely i take refuge with my lord and your lord that you should stone me to death :
« እኔም እንዳትወግሩኝ በጌታየና በጌታችሁ ተጠብቂያለሁ ፡ ፡

in what [ position ] are you that you should mention it ?
አንተ እርሷን ከማስታወስ በምን ውስጥ ነህ ?

it is greatly outrageous to allah that you should say what you do not do .
የማትሠሩን ነገር መናገራችሁ አላህ ዘንድ መጠላቱ ተለቀ ፡ ፡

and that you should keep your course towards the religion uprightly ; and you should not be of the polytheists .
ፊትህንም ( ወደ ቀጥታ ) ያዘነበልክ ስትሆን ለሃይማኖት ቀጥ አድርግ ፡ ፡ ከአጋሪዎቹም አትሁን ፡ ፡

they wish that you should be pliant so they ( too ) would be pliant .
ብትመሳሰላቸውና ቢመሳሰሉህ ተመኙ ፡ ፡

it is most loathsome in the sight of allah that you should profess what you do not practise .
የማትሠሩን ነገር መናገራችሁ አላህ ዘንድ መጠላቱ ተለቀ ፡ ፡

allah admonishes you that you should not return to the like of it ever again if you are believers .
ምእመናን እንደኾናችሁ ወደ ብጤው በፍፁም እንዳትመለሱ አላህ ይገስጻችኋል ፡ ፡

do you want me to guide you to your lord , so that you should fear him ? ' "
« ወደ ጌታህም ልመራህ ትፈራውም ዘንድ ፤ ( መንገድ አለህን ? ) » አለው ፡ ፡

( proclaiming ) that you should worship none but god . verily i bring to you from him a message of warning and rejoicing ,
( እንዲህ በላቸው ) ፡ - « አላህን እንጂ ሌላን አትገዙ ፡ ፡ እኔ ለእናንተ ከርሱ ( የተላክሁ ) አስፈራሪና አብሳሪ ነኝ ፡ ፡ »

a reasonable one among them said , " did i not tell you that you should glorify god ? "
ትክክለኛቸው « ለእናንተ አላህን ለምን አታጠሩም አላልኳችሁምን ? » አላቸው ፡ ፡

and that you should keep up prayer and be careful of ( your duty to ) him ; and he it is to whom you shall be gathered .
ሶላትንም በደንቡ ስገዱ ፍሩትም ፤ ( በማለት ታዘዝን ) ፡ ፡ እርሱም ያ ወደርሱ ብቻ የምትሰበሰቡበት ነው ፡ ፡

children of adam , did i not make a covenant with you , that you should not worship satan he is surely a clear enemy to you
የአደም ልጆች ሆይ ! ሰይጣንን አትገዙ ፤ እርሱ ለእናንተ ግልጽ ጠላት ነውና በማለት ወደእናንተ አላዘዝኩምን ?

hast thou not regarded those who were given a share of the book purchasing error , and desiring that you should also err from the way ?
ወደነዚያ ከመጽሐፉ ( ዕውቀት ) ዕድልን ወደ ተሰጡት አላየህምን ጥመትን ( በቅንነት ) ይገዛሉ ፡ ፡ መንገድንም እንድትሳሳቱ ይፈልጋሉ ፡ ፡

and neither would he enjoin you that you should take the angels and the prophets for lords ; what ! would he enjoin you with unbelief after you are muslims ?
መላእክትንና ነቢያትንም አማልክቶች አድርጋችሁ እንድትይዙ ሊያዛችሁ ( አይገባውም ) ፡ ፡ እናንተ ሙስሊሞች ከኾናችሁ በኋላ በክህደት ያዛችኋልን

and what reason have you that you should not believe in allah ? and the apostle calls on you that you may believe in your lord , and indeed he has made a covenant with you if you are believers .
መልክተኛው በጌታችሁ እንድታምኑ የሚጠራችሁ ሲኾን ( ጌታችሁ ) ኪዳናችሁንም የያዘባችሁ ሲኾን በአላህ የማታምኑት ለእናንተ ምን አልላችሁ ? የምታምኑ ብትኾኑ ( ወደ እምነት ቸኩሉ ) ፡ ፡
