and we caused a gourd tree to grow over him .
በእርሱም ላይ ( በአጠገቡ ) ከቅል የሆነችን ዛፍ አበቀልን ፡ ፡

and we caused to grow over him a tree , a gourd .
በእርሱም ላይ ( በአጠገቡ ) ከቅል የሆነችን ዛፍ አበቀልን ፡ ፡

and we caused a plant of gourd to grow over him .
በእርሱም ላይ ( በአጠገቡ ) ከቅል የሆነችን ዛፍ አበቀልን ፡ ፡

all this . let them taste it — boiling and bitter cold .
ይህ ( ለከሓዲዎች ነው ) ፡ ፡ ይቅመሱትም ፡ ፡ የፈላ ውሃና እዥ ነው ፡ ፡

surely we sent on them a tornado in a day of bitter ill-luck
እኛ በእነርሱ ላይ ዘወትር መናጢ በኾነ ቀን በኀይል የምትንሻሻ ነፋስን ላክንባቸው ፡ ፡

and we grew a tree of gourd ( as a shelter ) above him .
በእርሱም ላይ ( በአጠገቡ ) ከቅል የሆነችን ዛፍ አበቀልን ፡ ፡

and we caused to grow , over him , a spreading plant of the gourd kind .
በእርሱም ላይ ( በአጠገቡ ) ከቅል የሆነችን ዛፍ አበቀልን ፡ ፡

did we will , we would make it bitter ; so why are you not thankful ?
ብንሻ ኖሮ መርጋጋ ባደረግነው ነበር ፡ ፡ አታመሰግኑምን ?

if we willed we verily could make it bitter . why then , give ye not thanks ?
ብንሻ ኖሮ መርጋጋ ባደረግነው ነበር ፡ ፡ አታመሰግኑምን ?

reclining upon couches , they will find therein neither the heat of the sun nor bitter , biting cold ,
በውስጧ በባለ አጎበር አልጋዎች ላይ ተደጋፊዎች በውስጧ ፀሐይንም ጨረቃንም የማያዩ ሲኾኑ ፡ ፡

if we had so pleased , we could have made it bitter . so why would you not give thanks ?
ብንሻ ኖሮ መርጋጋ ባደረግነው ነበር ፡ ፡ አታመሰግኑምን ?

aye ! the hour is their appointed term , and the hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter .
ይልቁንም ሰዓቲቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ቀጠሮዋቸው ናት ፡ ፡ ሰዓቲቱም በጣም የከበደችና የመረረች ናት ፡ ፡

but the hour is their appointment [ for due punishment ] , and the hour is more disastrous and more bitter .
ይልቁንም ሰዓቲቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ቀጠሮዋቸው ናት ፡ ፡ ሰዓቲቱም በጣም የከበደችና የመረረች ናት ፡ ፡

it is he who released the two bodies of flowing water , one sweet and fresh and the other salty and bitter , and set up an insurmountable barrier between them .
እርሱም ያ ሁለቱን ባሕሮች አጎራብቶ የለቀቀ ነው ፡ ፡ ይህ ጥምን የሚቆርጥ ጣፋጭ ነው ፡ ፡ ይህም የሚመረግግ ጨው ነው ፡ ፡ በመካከላቸውም ( ከመቀላቀል ) መለያንና የተከለለን ክልል ያደረገ ነው ፡ ፡

but they turned away and so we let loose upon them a devastating flood that swept away the dams and replaced their gardens by two others bearing bitter fruits , tamarisks , and a few lote trees .
( ከማመስገን ) ዞሩም ፡ ፡ በእነርሱም ላይ የግድቡን ጎርፍ ለቀቅንባቸው ፡ ፡ በአትክልቶቻቸውም ሁለት አትክልቶች ፣ ባለመርጋጋ ፍሬዎችን ፣ ባለጠደቻና ከቁርቁራም ባለጥቂት ዛፎችን ለወጥናቸው ፡ ፡

in fact , the hour of doom is the time for them to suffer . the suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter ( of all suffering ) .
ይልቁንም ሰዓቲቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ቀጠሮዋቸው ናት ፡ ፡ ሰዓቲቱም በጣም የከበደችና የመረረች ናት ፡ ፡

a good land produces plants , by the permission of its lord , but a wicked land produces only miserable , bitter plants . thus do we show a variety of evidence for those who give thanks .
መልካሙም አገር በጌታው ፈቃድ በቃዩ ( ያማረ ኾኖ ) ይወጣል ፡ ፡ ያም መጥፎ የኾነው ( በቃዩ ) ደካማ ኾኖ እንጂ አይወጣም ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ለሚያመሰግኑ ሕዝቦች ታምራትን እናብራራለን ፡ ፡
