ቀሚሶቻቸው ከካትራም ናቸው ፡ ፡ ፊቶቻቸውንም እሳት ትሸፍናቸዋለች ፡ ፡

አላህን ተገቢ ክብሩን አላከበሩትም ፡ ፡ አላህ በጣም ኃያል አሸናፊ ነው ፡ ፡

and we carried him on a ( ship ) made of planks and nails ,
ባለ ሳንቃዎችና ባለሚስማሮች በኾነችም ታንኳ ላይ ጫንነው ፡ ፡

we bore him on an [ ark ] which , made of planks and nails ,
ባለ ሳንቃዎችና ባለሚስማሮች በኾነችም ታንኳ ላይ ጫንነው ፡ ፡

and we rescued him and those with him in the ship , and made of it a portent for the peoples .
ኑሕንና የመርከቢቱንም ጓዶች አዳናቸው ፡ ፡ እርሷንም ለዓለማት ተዓምር አደረግናት ፡ ፡

and we made of them imams to guide by our command when they were patient , and they were certain of our communications .
በታገሱና በተዓምራቶቻችን የሚያረጋግጡ በሆኑም ጊዜ ከእነርሱ በትዕዛዛችን የሚመሩ መሪዎች አደረግን ፡ ፡

no just estimate have they made of allah : for allah is he who is strong and able to carry out his will .
አላህን ተገቢ ክብሩን አላከበሩትም ፡ ፡ አላህ በጣም ኃያል አሸናፊ ነው ፡ ፡

whatsoever has been given you is the stuff this life is made of , and only its embellishment . what is with your lord is better and abiding .
ከማንኛውም ነገር የተሰጣችሁት ፤ የቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ጥቅምና ጌጧ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህ ዘንድ ያለውም ( ምንዳ ) በጣም በላጭና ዘውታሪ ነው አታውቁምን

( transparent as ) glass , made of silver ; they have measured them according to a measure .
መለካትን የለኳቸው በኾኑ የብር ብርጭቆዎች ( ይዝዞርባቸዋል ) ፡ ፡

and maketh the sun and the moon , constant in their courses , to be of service unto you , and hath made of service unto you the night and the day .
ፀሐይንና ጨረቃንም ዘወትር ኼያጆች ሲኾኑ ለእናንተ የገራ ሌሊትንና ቀንንም ለእናንተ የገራላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡

man is made of inordinate haste . we will show you our signs , then you will not desire to hasten ( the punishment ) .
ሰው ቸኳይ ሆኖ ተፈጠረ ፡ ፡ ተዓምራቶቼን በእርግጥ አሳያችኋለሁና አታቻኩሉኝ ፡ ፡

and hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth ; it is all from him . lo ! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect .
ለናንተም በሰማያት ያለውንና በምድርም ያለውን ሁሉ በመላ ከእርሱ ሲኾን የገራላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ በዚህ ለሚያስተነትኑ ሕዝቦች ተዓምራት አልለበት ፡ ፡

and noah 's folk , when they denied the messengers , we drowned them and made of them a portent for mankind . we have prepared a painful doom for evil-doers .
የኑሕን ሰዎችም መልክተኞችን ባስተባበሉ ጊዜ አሰጠምናቸው ፡ ፡ ለሰዎችም መገሰጫ አደረግናለቸው ፡ ፡ ለበደለኞችም አሳማሚን ቅጣት አዘጋጅተናል ፡ ፡

( bright as ) glass but ( made ) of silver , which they ( themselves ) have measured to the measure ( of their deeds ) .
