« ከዚያም እኔ በጩኸት ጠራኋቸው ፡ ፡

መጨረሻይቱ ( ሕይወት ) በላጭ ሁል ጊዜ ዘውታሪም ስትኾን ፡ ፡

and the world to come is better , and more enduring .
መጨረሻይቱ ( ሕይወት ) በላጭ ሁል ጊዜ ዘውታሪም ስትኾን ፡ ፡

whereas the hereafter is better and more enduring .
መጨረሻይቱ ( ሕይወት ) በላጭ ሁል ጊዜ ዘውታሪም ስትኾን ፡ ፡

greed for more and more distracted you [ from god ]
በብዛት መፎካከር ( ጌታችሁን ከመገዛት ) አዘነጋችሁ ፡ ፡

indeed , the first part of night is heavier in tread , and more upright in speech .
የሌሊት መነሳት እርሷ ( ሕዋሳትንና ልብን ) ለማስማማት በጣም ብርቱ ናት ፡ ፡ ለማንበብም ትክክለኛ ናት ፡ ፡

and the folk of noah aforetime , lo ! they were more unjust and more rebellious ;
በፊትም የኑሕን ሕዝቦች ( አጥፍቷል ) ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በጣም በደለኞችና እጅግ የጠመሙ እነርሱ ነበሩና ፡ ፡

so we decided that their lord should replace him by a better and more virtuous son .
« ጌታቸውም በንጹሕነት ከእርሱ በላጭን በእዝነትም ከእርሱ በጣም ቀራቢን ልጅ ሊለውጥላቸው ፈለግን ፡ ፡

and before them , the people of nooh ? indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these !
በፊትም የኑሕን ሕዝቦች ( አጥፍቷል ) ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በጣም በደለኞችና እጅግ የጠመሙ እነርሱ ነበሩና ፡ ፡

but the hour is their appointment [ for due punishment ] , and the hour is more disastrous and more bitter .
ይልቁንም ሰዓቲቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ቀጠሮዋቸው ናት ፡ ፡ ሰዓቲቱም በጣም የከበደችና የመረረች ናት ፡ ፡

all righteously believing male or female will be granted a blessed happy life and will receive their due reward and more .
ከወንድ ወይም ከሴት እርሱ አማኝ ኾኖ በጎን የሰራ መልካም ኑሮን በእርግጥ እናኖረዋለን ፡ ፡ ይሠሩትም ከነበሩት ነገር በመልካሙ ምንዳቸውን እንመነዳቸዋለን ፡ ፡

and also the people of nuh aforetime . verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious .
በፊትም የኑሕን ሕዝቦች ( አጥፍቷል ) ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በጣም በደለኞችና እጅግ የጠመሙ እነርሱ ነበሩና ፡ ፡

and thus do we recompense he who transgressed and did not believe in the signs of his lord . and the punishment of the hereafter is more severe and more enduring .
እንደዚሁም ያጋራንና በጌታው አንቀጾች ያላመነን ሰው እንቀጣዋለን ፡ ፡ የመጨረሻይቱም ዓለም ቅጣት በጣም ብርቱ ሁልጊዜ ዘውታሪም ነው ፡ ፡

and whoever is blind in this , he shall ( also ) be blind in the hereafter ; and more erring from the way .
በዚህችም ዓለም ( ልበ ) ዕውር የኾነ ሰው እርሱ በመጨረሻይቱም ( ዓለም ) ይበልጥ ዕውር ነው ፡ ፡ መንገድንም በጣም የተሳሳተ ነው ፡ ፤

and this is how we reward him who transgresses and does not accept faith in the signs of his lord ; and indeed the punishment of the hereafter is the most severe and more lasting .
እንደዚሁም ያጋራንና በጌታው አንቀጾች ያላመነን ሰው እንቀጣዋለን ፡ ፡ የመጨረሻይቱም ዓለም ቅጣት በጣም ብርቱ ሁልጊዜ ዘውታሪም ነው ፡ ፡

( abundant ) was the produce this man had : he said to his companion , in the course of a mutual argument : " more wealth have i than you , and more honour and power in ( my following of ) men . "
ለእርሱም ( ከአትክልቶቹ ሌላ ፍሬያማ ) ሀብት ነበረው ፡ ፡ ለጓደኛውም ( ለአማኙ ) እርሱ የሚወዳደረው ሲኾን « እኔ ካንተ በገንዘብ ይበልጥ የበዛሁ በወገንም ይበልጥ የበረታሁ ነኝ » አለው ፡ ፡
