my nation , how is it that i call you to salvation and you call me to the fire ?
« ወገኖቼም ሆይ ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ !

lord , grant me authority . join me to the righteous ones .
ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ዕውቀትን ስጠኝ ! በደጋጎቹም ሰዎች አስጠጋኝ ፡ ፡

o my people , how is it that i call you to salvation , and you call me to the fire ?
« ወገኖቼም ሆይ ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ !

my lord ! vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous .
ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ዕውቀትን ስጠኝ ! በደጋጎቹም ሰዎች አስጠጋኝ ፡ ፡

and , o my people ! how is it that i call you to salvation and you call me to the fire ?
« ወገኖቼም ሆይ ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ !

o my people , how is it with me , that i call you to salvation , and you call me to the fire ?
« ወገኖቼም ሆይ ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ !

" and o my people ! how is it that i call you to salvation while you call me to the fire !
« ወገኖቼም ሆይ ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ !

o my people , what is wrong with me that i am calling you to preservation , while you invite me to the fire !
« ወገኖቼም ሆይ ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ !

how could you turn back to disbelief when the words of god are recited to you and you have in your midst his messenger ? those who seek the protection of god will certainly be guided to the right path .
የአላህም አንቀጾች በእናንተ ላይ የሚነበቡ ሲኾኑ መልክተኛውም በውስጣችሁ ያለ ሲኾን እናንተ እንዴት ትክዳላችሁ በአላህም የሚጠበቅ ሰው ወደ ቀጥተኛው መንገድ በእርግጥ ተመራ ፡ ፡

you invite me to disbelieve in allah and associate with him that of which i have no knowledge , and i invite you to the exalted in might , the perpetual forgiver .
« በአላህ ልክድና በእርሱም ለእኔ ዕውቀት የሌለኝን ነገር በእርሱ እንዳጋራ ትጠሩኛላችሁ ፡ ፡ እኔም ወደ አሸናፊው ፤ መሓሪው ( አላህ ) እጠራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡

" and o my people ! how ( strange ) it is for me to call you to salvation while ye call me to the fire !
« ወገኖቼም ሆይ ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ !

as he headed towards median , he said , “ perhaps my lord will guide me to the right way . ”
ወደ መድየን አቅጣጫ ፊቱን ባዞረ ጊዜም « ጌታዬ ቀጥተኛውን መንገድ ሊመራኝ እከጅላለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

and when he directed himself toward madyan , he said , " perhaps my lord will guide me to the sound way . "
ወደ መድየን አቅጣጫ ፊቱን ባዞረ ጊዜም « ጌታዬ ቀጥተኛውን መንገድ ሊመራኝ እከጅላለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

there is no doubt that those whom you call me to have no claim to be called upon in this world and in the hereafter . certainly to allah shall be our return , and those who exceed the limits are destined to the fire .
« በእርግጥ ወደእርሱ የምትጠሩብኝ ( ጣዖት ) ለእርሱ በቅርቢቱም ኾነ በመጨረሻይቱ ዓለም ( ተሰሚ ) ጥሪ የለውም ፡ ፡ መመለሻችንም በእርግጥ ወደ አላህ ነው ፡ ፡ ወሰን አላፊዎቹም እነሱ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው ፡ ፡

when his lord said to him , ' surrender , ' he said , ' i have surrendered me to the lord of all being . '
ጌታው ለርሱ ታዘዝ ባለው ጊዜ ( መረጠው ) ፡ ፡ ለዓለማት ጌታ ታዘዝኩ አለ ፡ ፡

his. people remonstrated with him whereupon abraharn said : ' do you remonstrate with me concerning allah who has guided me to the right way ? i do not fear those whom you associate with allah in his divinity .
ወገኖቹም ተከራከሩት ፡ ፡ « በአላህ ( አንድነት ) በእርግጥ የመራኝ ሲኾን ትከራከሩኛላችሁን በእርሱም የምታጋሩትን ነገር አልፈራም ፡ ፡ ግን ጌታዬ ነገርን ቢሻ ( ያገኘኛል ) ፡ ፡ ጌታዬም ነገሩን ሁሉ ዕውቀቱ ሰፋ ፡ ፡ አትገነዘቡምን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

then said paul unto him, god shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?
በዚያን ጊዜ ጳውሎስ። አንተ በኖራ የተለሰነ ግድግዳ፥ እግዚአብሔር አንተን ይመታ ዘንድ አለው፤ አንተ በሕግ ልትፈርድብኝ ተቀምጠህ ሳለህ ያለ ሕግ እመታ ዘንድ ታዛለህን? አለው።

could you but see when the wrongdoers will be made to stand before their lord , casting blame on one another ! those who had been weak will say to the arrogant ones , " had it not been for you , we should certainly have been believers ! "
እነዚያ የካዱትም በዚህ ቁርኣን በዚያ ከበፊቱ ባለውም ( መጽሐፍ ) በጭራሽ አናምንም አሉ ፡ ፡ በዳዮችም ከፊላቸው ወደ ከፊሉ ንግግርን የሚመላለሱ ሆነው በጌታቸው ዘንድ በሚቆሙ ጊዜ ብታይ ኖሮ ፤ ( አስደናቂን ነገር ታይ ነበር ) ፡ ፡ እነዚያ የተዋረዱት ለእነዚያ ለኮሩት « እናንተ ባልነበራችሁ ኖሮ አማኞች በኾን ነበር » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

you call me to deny allah and to associate with him as his partners those regarding whom i have no knowledge ( that they are allah 's partners in his divinity ) , whereas i call you to the most mighty , the most forgiving ?
« በአላህ ልክድና በእርሱም ለእኔ ዕውቀት የሌለኝን ነገር በእርሱ እንዳጋራ ትጠሩኛላችሁ ፡ ፡ እኔም ወደ አሸናፊው ፤ መሓሪው ( አላህ ) እጠራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡

he said , ' what thinkest thou ? this whom thou hast honoured above me -- if thou deferrest me to the day of resurrection i shall assuredly master his seed , save a few . '
« ንገረኝ ይህ ያ በእኔ ላይ ያበለጥከው ነውን እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ ብታቆየኝ ዘሮቹን ጥቂቶች ሲቀሩ ወደ ስህተት በእርግጥ እስባቸዋለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡
