and surely there hath come unto them news whereof the purport should deter ,
ከዜናዎችም በእርሱ ውስጥ መገሰጥ ያለበት ነገር በእርግጥ መጣላቸው ፡ ፡

he said , ‘ if only i had the power to deter you , or could take refuge in a mighty support ! ’
« በእናንተ ላይ ለኔ ኀይል በኖረኝ ወይም ወደ ብርቱ ወገን ብጠጋ ኖሮ ( የምሠራውን በሠራሁ ነበር ) » አላቸው ፡ ፡

surely there came to them narratives ( of the ancient nations ) that should suffice to deter ( them from transgression ) ,
ከዜናዎችም በእርሱ ውስጥ መገሰጥ ያለበት ነገር በእርግጥ መጣላቸው ፡ ፡

of them are some who believe in him , and of them are some who deter [ others ] from him ; and hell suffices for a blaze !
ከእነሱም ( ከይሁዶች ) በእርሱ ያመነ አለ ፡ ፡ ከእነርሱም ከእርሱ ያፈገፈ አለ ፡ ፡ አቃጣይነትም በገሀነም በቃ ፡ ፡

by the will of god they defeated them , and david killed goliath , and god gave him kingship and wisdom , and taught him whatsoever he pleased . if god did not make men deter one another this earth would indeed be depraved .
በአላህም ፈቃድ ድል መቷቸው ፡ ፡ ዳውድም ጃሉትን ( ዳዊት ጎልያድን ) ገደለ ፡ ፡ ንግሥናንና ጥበብንም ( ነቢይነትን ) አላህ ሰጠው ፡ ፡ ከሚሻውም ነገር ሁሉ አሳወቀው ፡ ፡ አላህም ሰዎችን ከፊላቸውን በከፊሉ መመለሱ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ምድር በተበላሸች ነበር ፤ ግን አላህ በዓለማት ላይ የችሮታ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡

he directs them to righteousness , and deters them from evil , and allows for them all good things , and prohibits for them wickedness , and unloads the burdens and the shackles that are upon them . those who believe in him , and respect him , and support him , and follow the light that came down with him — these are the successful .
ለእነዚያ ያንን እነሱ ዘንድ በተውራትና በኢንጂል ተጽፎ የሚያገኙትን የማይጽፍና የማያነብ ነቢይ የኾነውን መልክተኛ የሚከተሉ ለኾኑት ( በእርግጥ እጽፍለታለሁ ) ፡ ፡ በበጎ ሥራ ያዛቸዋል ፡ ፡ ከክፉም ነገር ይከለክላቸዋል ፡ ፡ መልካም ነገሮችንም ለነርሱ ይፈቅድላቸዋል ፡ ፡ መጥፎ ነገሮችንም በእነርሱ ላይ እርም ያደርግባቸዋል ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ላይ ሸክማቸውንና እነዚያንም በእነርሱ ላይ የነበሩትን እንዛዝላዎች ( ከባድ ሕግጋቶች ) ያነሳላቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነዚያም በእርሱ ያመኑ ያከበሩትም የረዱትም ያንንም ከእርሱ ጋር የተወረደውን ብርሃን የተከተሉ እነዚያ እነሱ የሚያድኑ ናቸው ፡ ፡
