he says , ' by god , wellnigh thou didst destroy me ;
ይላል « በአላህ እምላለሁ ፤ በእርግጥ ልታጠፋኝ ቀርበህ ነበር ፡ ፡

didst thou ( o muhammad ) observe him who turned away ,
ያንን ( ከእምነት ) የዞረውን አየህን ?

" from following me ? didst thou then disobey my order ? "
« እኔን ከመከተል ትዕዛዜን ጣስክን »

and thou didst the deed thou didst , being one of the ungrateful ! '
« ያችንም የሠራሃትን ሥራህን አልሠራህምን አንተም ከውለታ ቢሶቹ ነህ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

and thou didst that thy deed which thou didst , and thou wast one of the ingrates .
« ያችንም የሠራሃትን ሥራህን አልሠራህምን አንተም ከውለታ ቢሶቹ ነህ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

' now ? and before thou didst rebel , being of those that did corruption .
ከአሁን በፊት በእርግጥ ያመጽክ ከአጥፊዎችም የነበርክ ስትሆን አሁን ( አመንኩ ትላለህ )

so that thou didst not follow after me ? didst thou then disobey my commandment ? '
« እኔን ከመከተል ትዕዛዜን ጣስክን »

and that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the children of isra 'il ?
« ይህችም የእስራኤልን ልጆች ባሪያ በማድረግህ በእኔ ላይ የምትመጻደቅባት ጸጋ ነት ፡ ፡ »

he said : i am better than him . thou createdst me of fire , whilst him thou didst create of clay .
« እኔ ከእርሱ በላጭ ነኝ ፡ ፡ ከእሳት ፈጠርከኝ ፤ ከጭቃም ፈጠርከው » አለ ፡ ፡

he ( moses ) said : o aaron ! what held thee back when thou didst see them gone astray ,
( ሙሳ ) አለ ፡ - « ሃሩን ሆይ ! ተሳስተው ባየሃቸው ጊዜ ምን ከለከልህ

not before this didst thou recite any book , or inscribe it with thy right hand , for then those who follow falsehood would have doubted .
ከእርሱ በፊትም መጽሐፍን የምታነብ በቀኝህም የምትጽፈው አልነበርክም ፡ ፡ ያን ጊዜ አጥፊዎቹ በእርግጥ በተጠራጠሩ ነበር ፡ ፡

allah pardon thee ! why didst thou give them leave before it was manifest unto thee as to whosoever told the truth and thou hadst known the liars .
አላህ ከአንተ ይቅር አለ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ እውነተኛዎቹ ላንተ እስከሚገለጹልህና ውሸታሞቹንም እስከምታውቅ ድረስ ለነርሱ ( እንዲቀሩ ) ለምን ፈቀድክላቸው

didst thou not know that god knows all that is in heaven and earth ? surely that is in a book ; surely that for god is an easy matter .
አላህ በሰማይና በምድር ውስጥ ያለን ሁሉ በእርግጥ የሚያውቅ መኾኑን አታውቅምን ይህ በመጽሐፍ ውስጥ ( የተመዘገበ ) ነው ፡ ፡ ይህ በአላህ ላይ ገር ነው ፡ ፡

and cry not , beside allah , unto that which cannot profit thee nor hurt thee , for if thou didst so then wert thou of the wrong-doers .
« ከአላህም በቀር የማይጠቅምንና የማይጎዳን አትገዛ ፡ ፡ ብትሠራም አንተ ያንጊዜ ከበደለኞቹ ትሆናለህ » ( ተብያለሁ በላቸው ) ፡ ፡

allah give thee grace ! why didst thou grant them until those who told the truth were seen by thee in a clear light , and thou hadst proved the liars ?
አላህ ከአንተ ይቅር አለ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ እውነተኛዎቹ ላንተ እስከሚገለጹልህና ውሸታሞቹንም እስከምታውቅ ድረስ ለነርሱ ( እንዲቀሩ ) ለምን ፈቀድክላቸው

( but now the answer will be ) : nay , for my revelations came unto thee , but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers .
የለም ተመርተሃል ፡ ፡ አንቀጾቼ በእርግጥ መጥተውልሃል ፡ ፡ በእነርሱም አስተባብለሃል ፡ ፡ ኮርተሃልም ፡ ፡ ከከሓዲዎቹም ኾነሃል ፤ ( ይባላል ) ፡ ፡

allah forgive thee ( o muhammad ) ! wherefor didst thou grant them leave ere those who told the truth were manifest to thee and thou didst know the liars ?
አላህ ከአንተ ይቅር አለ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ እውነተኛዎቹ ላንተ እስከሚገለጹልህና ውሸታሞቹንም እስከምታውቅ ድረስ ለነርሱ ( እንዲቀሩ ) ለምን ፈቀድክላቸው

( pharaoh ) said : " did we not cherish thee as a child among us , and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life ?
( ፈርዖንም ) አለ « ልጅ ኾነህ በእኛ ውስጥ አላሳደግንህምን በእኛ ውስጥም ከዕድሜህ ብዙ ዓመታትን አልተቀመጥክምን

" ( the reply will be : ) ' nay , but there came to thee my signs , and thou didst reject them : thou wast haughty , and became one of those who reject faith ! ' "
የለም ተመርተሃል ፡ ፡ አንቀጾቼ በእርግጥ መጥተውልሃል ፡ ፡ በእነርሱም አስተባብለሃል ፡ ፡ ኮርተሃልም ፡ ፡ ከከሓዲዎቹም ኾነሃል ፤ ( ይባላል ) ፡ ፡
