therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them .
ይሠሩትም የነበሩት ሕንጻ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

not at all – but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts .
ይከልከል ፤ ይልቁንም በልቦቻቸው ላይ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ( ኀጢአት ) ደገደገባቸው ፡ ፡

allah will recompense each soul according to its earnings . swift is the reckoning of allah .
አላህ ነፍስን ሁሉ የሠራችውን ይመነዳ ዘንድ ( ይህንን አደረገ ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ምርመራው ፈጣን ነው ፡ ፡

that god may recompense every soul for its earnings ; surely god is swift at the reckoning .
አላህ ነፍስን ሁሉ የሠራችውን ይመነዳ ዘንድ ( ይህንን አደረገ ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ምርመራው ፈጣን ነው ፡ ፡

they shall laugh but little and shed many tears . so shall they be recompensed for their earnings .
ጥቂትንም ይሳቁ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት በነበሩት ዋጋ ብዙን ያለቅሳሉ ፡ ፡

and the evils of their earnings will appear to them , and that which they mocked at will encompass them .
ለእነርሱም የሠሩዋቸው መጥፎዎቹ ይገለጹላቸዋል ፡ ፡ በእነርሱም ላይ በእርሱ ያላግጡበት የነበሩት ቅጣት ይሰፍርባቸዋል ፡ ፡

and give up the open and hidden sins ; those who earn sins will soon receive the punishment of their earnings .
የኃጢአትንም ግልጹንም ድብቁንም ተውዉ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ኃጢአትን የሚሠሩ ፤ ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር በእርግጥ ይቀጣሉ ፡ ፡

and whoever earns sin , his earnings will only be against himself ; and allah is the knowing , wise .
ኀጢአትንም የሚሠራ ሰው የሚሠራው ጥፋት በራሱ ላይ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም ዐዋቂ ጥበበኛ ነው ፤

on that day every soul shall be recompensed for its earnings and on that day none shall be wronged . the reckoning of allah is swift .
« ዛሬ ነፍስ ሁሉ በሠራችው ሥራ ትምመነዳለች ፡ ፡ ዛሬ በደል የለም ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርግጥ ምርመራው ፈጣን ነው » ( ይባላል ) ፡ ፡

eschew all sin , open or secret : those who earn sin will get due recompense for their " earnings . "
የኃጢአትንም ግልጹንም ድብቁንም ተውዉ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ኃጢአትን የሚሠሩ ፤ ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር በእርግጥ ይቀጣሉ ፡ ፡

their worldly earnings shall not avail them , nor those whom they took as protectors instead of allah . an awesome chastisement lies in store for them .
ከፊታቸውም ገሀነም አልለች ፡ ፡ የሰበሰቡትም ሀብት ከእነርሱ ላይ ምንንም አይመልስላቸውም ፡ ፡ ከአላህ ሌላም ረዳቶች አድርገው የያዙዋቸው ( አይጠቅሟቸውም ) ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ታላቅ ቅጣት አልላቸው ፡ ፡

and the evil of their earnings coiled upon them . the harmdoers among these will also be coiled by the evils of their earnings , they will be unable to defeat it .
የሠሩዋቸውም መጥፎዎች ( ቅጣት ) አገኛቸው ፡ ፡ ከእነዚህም እነዚያ የበደሉት የሠሩዋቸው መጥፎዎች ( ፍዳ ) በእርግጥ ይነካቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አምላጮች አይደሉም ፡ ፡

we will surely put you to trial by involving you in fear and hunger and by causing loss of property , life and earnings . and give good tidings to those who remain steadfast in these trials :
ከፍርሃትና ከረኃብም በጥቂት ነገር ፣ ከገንዘቦችና ከነፍሶችም ፣ ከፍራፍሬዎችም በመቀነስ በእርግጥ እንሞክራችኋለን ፡ ፡ ታጋሾችንም ( በገነት ) አብስር ፡ ፡

therefore the evils of their earnings befell them ; and those who are unjust among them – soon the evils of the earnings will befall them , and they cannot escape .
የሠሩዋቸውም መጥፎዎች ( ቅጣት ) አገኛቸው ፡ ፡ ከእነዚህም እነዚያ የበደሉት የሠሩዋቸው መጥፎዎች ( ፍዳ ) በእርግጥ ይነካቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አምላጮች አይደሉም ፡ ፡

they who taunt those of the faithful who give their alms freely , and those who give to the extent of their earnings and scoff at them ; allah will pay them back their scoffing , and they shall have a painful chastisement .
እነዚያ ከምእምናን በምጽዋቶች ፈቃደኛ የኾኑትን ፣ እነዚያንም የችሎታቸውን ያክል እንጅ የማያገኙትን ሰዎች የሚያነውሩ ፣ ከእነሱም የሚስቁ አላህ ከነሱ ይሳለቅባቸዋል ፤ ( ይቀጣቸዋል ) ፡ ፡ ለእነሱም አሳማሚ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡
