god sends down water from the skies and quickens the dead earth to a new birth . here is a sign for those who listen .
አላህም ከሰማይ ውሃን አወረደ ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ምድርን ከሞተች በኋላ ሕያው አደረገ ፡ ፡ በዚህ ውስጥ ለሚሰሙ ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ ተዓምር አልለ ፡ ፡

it is he who hath produced you from a single person : here is a place of sojourn and a place of departure : we detail our signs for people who understand .
እርሱም ያ ከአንዲት ነፍስ ያስገኛችሁ ፤ ነው ፡ ፡ ( በማሕፀን ) መርጊያና ( በጀርባ ) መቀመጫም ( አላችሁ ) ፡ ፡ ለሚያወቁ ሕዝቦች አንቀጾችን በእርግጥ ዘረዘርን ፡ ፡

( here is ) a book which we have sent down unto thee , full of blessings , that they may mediate on its signs , and that men of understanding may receive admonition .
( ይህ ) ወዳንተ ያወረድነው ብሩክ መጽሐፍ ነው ፡ ፡ አንቀጾቹን እንዲያስተነትኑና የአእምሮዎች ባለቤቶችም እንዲገሰጹ ( አወረድነው ) ፡ ፡

( here is ) a surah which we have revealed and enjoined , and wherein we have revealed plain tokens , that haply ye may take heed .
( ይህች ) ያወረድናትና የደነገግናት ምዕራፍ ናት ፡ ፡ በእርሷም ውስጥ ትገሰፁ ዘንድ ግልጾችን አንቀጾች አውርደናል ፡ ፡

( saleh ) said : " here is a she-camel . she has a right of drinking water , and you have a right of drinking it on appointed turns .
( እርሱም ) አለ « ይህች ግመል ናት ፡ ፡ ለእርሷ የመጠጥ ፋንታ አላት ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም የታወቀ ቀን ፋንታ አላችሁ ፡ ፡

he said : " here is a she-camel : she has a right of watering , and ye have a right of watering , ( severally ) on a day appointed .
( እርሱም ) አለ « ይህች ግመል ናት ፡ ፡ ለእርሷ የመጠጥ ፋንታ አላት ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም የታወቀ ቀን ፋንታ አላችሁ ፡ ፡

then , when they beheld it as a dense cloud coming toward their valleys , they said : here is a cloud bringing us rain . nay , but it is that which ye did seek to hasten , a wind wherein is painful torment ,
ሸለቆዎቻቸውን ተቅጣጪ አግዳሚ ደመና ኾኖ ባዩትም ጊዜ « ይህ አዝናቢያችን የኾነ ደመና ነው » አሉ ፡ ፡ ( ሁድም ) « አይደለም ፤ እርሱ ያ በእርሱ የተቻኮላችሁበት መዐት ነው ፡ ፡ በውስጧ አሳማሚ ስቃይ ያለባት ነፋስ ናት ፡ ፡

and there came a caravan of travellers and they sent their water-drawer to draw water from the well . he let down his bucket into the well and he exclaimed , " oh , what a lucky find , here is a boy ! "
መንገደኞችም መጡ ፡ ፡ ውሃ ቀጂያቸውንም ላኩ ፡ ፡ አኮሊውንም ( ወደ ጉድጓዱ ) ሰደደ « የምስራች ! ይህ ወጣት ልጅ ነው » አለ ፡ ፡ ሸቀጥ አድርገውም ደበቁት ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡
