by faith isaac blessed jacob and esau concerning things to come.
ይስሐቅ ሊመጣ ስላለው ነገር ያዕቆብንና ዔሳውን በእምነት ባረካቸው።

and we gave him good news of isaac , a prophet , one of the righteous .
በኢስሐቅም አበሰርነው ፡ ፡ ከመልካሞቹ የሆነ ነቢይ ሲሆን ፡ ፡

and we gave him good tidings of isaac , a prophet from among the righteous .
በኢስሐቅም አበሰርነው ፡ ፡ ከመልካሞቹ የሆነ ነቢይ ሲሆን ፡ ፡

and we gave him the good news of isaac , a prophet and among the righteous ones .
በኢስሐቅም አበሰርነው ፡ ፡ ከመልካሞቹ የሆነ ነቢይ ሲሆን ፡ ፡

then , we gave him the glad tidings of isaac , a prophet , one of the righteous ,
በኢስሐቅም አበሰርነው ፡ ፡ ከመልካሞቹ የሆነ ነቢይ ሲሆን ፡ ፡

and remember our servants , abraham , isaac and jacob , men of strength and insight .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

and commemorate our servants abraham , isaac , and jacob , possessors of power and vision .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

also , remember our worshipers abraham , isaac , and jacob , those of might and vision .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

all praise be to god who bestowed on me ishmael and isaac in old age . verily my lord listens to prayer .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

and his wife was standing , and she smiled . then we gave her good tidings of isaac and after isaac , jacob .
ሚስቱም የቆመች ስትኾን ( አትፍራ አሉት ) ሳቀችም ፡ ፡ በኢስሐቅም አበሰርናት ፡ ፡ ከኢስሐቅም በኋላ ( በልጁ ) በያዕቁብ ( አበሰርናት ) ፡ ፡

and blessed him and isaac too : some of their offspring were good , but some clearly sinned against their souls .
በእርሱና በኢስሐቅ ላይም ባረክን ፡ ፡ ከሁለቱም ዘሮች በጎ ሠሪ አልለ ፡ ፡ ለነፍሱ ግልጽ በዳይም አለ ፡ ፡

all praise be to allah who , despite my old age , has given me ishmael and isaac . surely my lord hears all prayers .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

and remember our servants , abraham , isaac and jacob - those of strength and [ religious ] vision .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

all praise belongs to allah , who gave me ishmael and isaac despite [ my ] old age . indeed my lord hears all supplications .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

praise be to allah who hath given me , in my old age , ishmael and isaac ! lo ! my lord is indeed the hearer of prayer .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , recall our servants abraham , isaac , and jacob , all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions .
ባሮቻችንንም ኢብራሂምን ፣ ኢስሐቅንና ያዕቆበንም ፣ የኅይልና የማስተዋል ባለቤቶች የኾኑን አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡

and his wife was standing ( there ) , and she laughed : but we gave her glad tidings of isaac , and after him , of jacob .
ሚስቱም የቆመች ስትኾን ( አትፍራ አሉት ) ሳቀችም ፡ ፡ በኢስሐቅም አበሰርናት ፡ ፡ ከኢስሐቅም በኋላ ( በልጁ ) በያዕቁብ ( አበሰርናት ) ፡ ፡

do you claim that abraham and ishmael and isaac and jacob and their descendants were all jews or christians ? " say , " do you know better or does god ?
ወይም ኢብራሂም ኢስማዒልም ኢስሐቅም ያዕቁብም ነገዶቹም አይሁዶች ወይም ክርስቲያኖች ነበሩ ትላላችሁን ? « እናንተ ታውቃላችሁን ? ወይንስ አላህ ? » በላቸው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ዘንድ ከአላህ የኾነችን ምስክርነት ከደበቀ ሰው ይበልጥ በዳይ ማነው ? አላህም ከምትሠሩት ሁሉ ዘንጊ አይደለም ፡ ፡

or do you claim that abraham and ishmael and isaac and jacob and their offspring were jews or christians ? say : " have you more knowledge than god ? "
ወይም ኢብራሂም ኢስማዒልም ኢስሐቅም ያዕቁብም ነገዶቹም አይሁዶች ወይም ክርስቲያኖች ነበሩ ትላላችሁን ? « እናንተ ታውቃላችሁን ? ወይንስ አላህ ? » በላቸው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ዘንድ ከአላህ የኾነችን ምስክርነት ከደበቀ ሰው ይበልጥ በዳይ ማነው ? አላህም ከምትሠሩት ሁሉ ዘንጊ አይደለም ፡ ፡

" all the praises and thanks be to allah , who has given me in old age isma 'il ( ishmael ) and ishaque ( isaac ) . verily !
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡
