and we led the twain on unto the straight path .
ቀጥተኛውንም መንገድ መራናቸው ፡ ፡

and we left for the twain among the posterity :
በሁለቱም ላይ በኋለኞቹ ሕዝቦች ውስጥ መልካም ዝናን ተውንላቸው ፡ ፡

lo ! i am with you twain , hearing and seeing .
( አላህም ) አለ « አትፍሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ በእርግጥ ከእናንተ ጋር ነኝና ፡ ፡ እሰማለሁ ፤ አያለሁም ፡ ፡

he said : who is the lord of you twain , o musa !
( ፈርዖንም ) « ሙሳ ሆይ ! ጌታችሁ ማነው » አለ ፡ ፡

cast ye twain into hell every person rebellious , contumacious .
« ሞገደኛ ከሓዲን ሁሉ በገሀነም ውስጥ ጣሉ ፡ ፡ »

' cast , you twain , into gehenna every froward unbeliever ,
« ሞገደኛ ከሓዲን ሁሉ በገሀነም ውስጥ ጣሉ ፡ ፡ »

in-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not .
( እንዳይዋሐዱ ) በመካከላቸው ጋራጅ አልለ ፡ ፡ ( አንዱ ባንዱ ላይ ) ወሰን አያልፉም ፡ ፡

which , then , of the benefits of your lord will ye twain belie
ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ ?

and whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
ማንም ሰው አንድ ምዕራፍ ትሄድ ዘንድ ቢያስገድድህ ሁለተኛውን ከእርሱ ጋር ሂድ።

whfch , then , of the benefits of your lord will ye twain belie !
ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ ?

then they belied the twain ; so they became of those who were destroyed .
አስተባበሉዋቸውም ፡ ፡ ከጠፊዎቹም ኾኑ ፡ ፡

( and it is said ) : do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate ,
« ሞገደኛ ከሓዲን ሁሉ በገሀነም ውስጥ ጣሉ ፡ ፡ »

who setteth up another god along with allah . do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom .
« ያንን ከአላህ ጋር ሌላን አምላክ ያደረገውን በብርቱ ቅጣት ውስጥ ጣሉት ፤ » ( ይባላል ) ፡ ፡

which of the bounties of your lord will you twain – you men and jinn then deny – ?
( ሰዎችና ጋኔኖች ሆይ ! ) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ ?

and the earth and the mountains shall be borne and the twain shall be crushed with a single crash .
ምድርና ጋራዎችም ( ከስፍራቸው ) በተነሱና አንዲትን መሰባበር በተሰባበሩ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

he said ; fear not ; verily i shall be with you twain : i shall hear and see .
( አላህም ) አለ « አትፍሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ በእርግጥ ከእናንተ ጋር ነኝና ፡ ፡ እሰማለሁ ፤ አያለሁም ፡ ፡

and as for the boy , his parents were believers , and we apprehended that he might impose upon the twain exorbitance and infidelity .
« ወጣቱም ልጅማ ወላጆቹ ምእመናን ነበሩ ፡ ፡ ( ቢያድግ ) ትእቢትንና ክህደትንም የሚያስገድዳቸው መኾኑን ፈራን ፡ ፡

he said : by no means. so go ye twain with our signs ; verily we shall be with you listening .
( አላህ ) አለ « ተው ! ( አይነኩህም ) ፡ ፡ በተዓምራቶቻችንም ኺዱ ፡ ፡ እኛ ከእናንተ ጋር ሰሚዎች ነንና ፡ ፡

and assuredly we created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in between the twain in six days , and there touched us naught of weariness .
ሰማያትንና ምድርን በመካከላቸው ያለውንም ሁሉ በስድስት ቀናት ውስጥ በእርግጥ ፈጠርን ፡ ፡ ድካምም ምንም አልነካንም ፡ ፡

allah said : surely the petition of you twain is accepted , so keep straight on , and follow not the path of those who know not .
( አላህም ) « ጸሎታችሁ በእርግጥ ተሰምታለች ፡ ፡ ቀጥም በሉ ፡ ፡ የእነዚያንም የማያውቁትን ሰዎች መንገድ አትከተሉ » አላቸው ፡ ፡
