that day will man say : " where is the refuge ? "
« ሰው በዚያ ቀን መሸሻው የት ነው ? » ይላል ፡ ፡

it will be said to them : ' where is that you worshipped ,
ለእነሱም በሚባል ቀን « ትግገዟቸው የነበራችሁት የት ናቸው »

it shall be said to them , ' where is that you were serving
ለእነሱም በሚባል ቀን « ትግገዟቸው የነበራችሁት የት ናቸው »

then the jews sought him at the feast, and said, where is he?
አይሁድም። እርሱ ወዴት ነው? እያሉ በበዓሉ ይፈልጉት ነበር።

and men say : where is the wizard ( who can save him now ) ?
« አሻሪው ማነው ? » በተባለም ጊዜ ፡ ፡

and they shall be told : ‘ where is that which you used to worship
ለእነሱም በሚባል ቀን « ትግገዟቸው የነበራችሁት የት ናቸው »

and it shall be said unto them where is that which ye were wont to worship ?
ለእነሱም በሚባል ቀን « ትግገዟቸው የነበራችሁት የት ናቸው »

and it will be said unto them : where is ( all ) that ye used to worship
ለእነሱም በሚባል ቀን « ትግገዟቸው የነበራችሁት የት ናቸው »

on that day man will say : " where ( is the refuge ) to flee ? "
« ሰው በዚያ ቀን መሸሻው የት ነው ? » ይላል ፡ ፡

man will say on that day , " where is the [ place of ] escape ? "
« ሰው በዚያ ቀን መሸሻው የት ነው ? » ይላል ፡ ፡

and when hell is brought that day – on that day will man reflect , but where is the time now to think ?
ገሀነምም በዚያ ቀን በተመጣች ጊዜ በዚያ ቀን ሰው ( ጥፋቱን ) ይገነዘባል ፡ ፡ መገንዘብም ለእርሱ ከየቱ ?

then it will be said to them , " where is that which you used to associate [ with him in worship ]
ከዚያም ለእነርሱ ይባላሉ ( በአላህ ) « ታጋሯቸው የነበራችሁት የታሉ ? »

where is boasting then? it is excluded. by what law? of works? nay: but by the law of faith.
ትምክህት እንግዲህ ወዴት ነው? እርሱ ቀርቶአል። በየትኛው ሕግ ነው? በሥራ ሕግ ነውን? አይደለም፥ በእምነት ሕግ ነው እንጂ።

and saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
እነርሱም። የመምጣቱ የተስፋ ቃል ወዴት ነው? አባቶች ከሞቱባት ጊዜ፥ ከፍጥረት መጀመሪያ ይዞ ሁሉ እንዳለ ይኖራልና ይላሉ።

where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not god made foolish the wisdom of this world?
ጥበበኛ የት አለ? ጻፊስ የት አለ? የዚች ዓለም መርማሪስ የት አለ? እግዚአብሔር የዚችን ዓለም ጥበብ ሞኝነት እንዲሆን አላደረገምን?

then said they unto him, where is thy father? jesus answered, ye neither know me, nor my father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my father also.
እንግዲህ። አባትህ ወዴት ነው? አሉት። ኢየሱስ መልሶ። እኔንም ወይም አባቴንም አታውቁም፤ እኔንስ ብታውቁኝ አባቴን ደግሞ ባወቃችሁ ነበር አላቸው።

and he said unto them, where is your faith? and they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, what manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
እርሱም። እምነታችሁ የት ነው? አላቸው። ፈርተውም ተደነቁ፥ እርስ በርሳቸውም። እንዲህ ነፋሳትንና ውኃን እንኳ የሚያዝ ለእርሱም የሚታዘዙለት ይህ ማን ነው? አሉ።

( as for ) those , their portion of the book shall reach them , until when our apostles come to them causing them to die , they shall say : where is that which you used to call upon besides allah ? they would say : they are gone away from us ; and they shall bear witness against themselves that they were unbelievers
በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን ከቀጠፈ ወይም በአንቀጾቹ ከአስዋሸ ሰው ይበልጥ በዳይ ማን ነው እነዚያ ( ከተጻፈላቸው ) ከመጽሐፉ ውስጥ ሲኾን ዕድላቸው ያገኛቸዋል ፡ ፡ ( የሞት ) መልክተኞቻችንም የሚገድሏቸው ኾነው በመጡባቸው ጊዜ « ከአላህ ሌላ ትገዟቸው የነበራችሁት የት አሉ » ይሏቸዋል ፡ ፡ « ከእኛ ተሰወሩን » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ከሃዲያን እንደነበሩ በነፍሶቻቸው ላይ ይመሰክራሉ ፡ ፡
