အကျွန်ုပ်မူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင့်ထံတော်သို့ ချဉ်း ကပ်၍ အကျိုးရှိပါ၏။ အမှုတော်ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ကြားပြော ခြင်းအလိုငှါ၊ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၌ ခိုလှုံလျက်နေပါ၏။

therefore now, o lord, take, i beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.
သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်အသက်ကို နှုတ်ယူတော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်အသက်ရှင်ခြင်းထက် သေ ခြင်းသည် သာ၍ကောင်းပါသည်ဟု တောင်းလျှောက်လေ ၏။

arise, o lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ အမျက်တော် ထွက်၍ ထတော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်၏ရန်သူတို့ ပြင်းထန်ခြင်းကို ဆီးတား၍ အားထုတ်တော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်အဘို့ နိုးတော် မူပါ။ တရားစီရင်ဆုံးဖြတ်တော်မူပါ။

and he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, i have seen a woman in timnath of the daughters of the philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
မိဘထံသို့ ပြန်လာ၍၊ တိမနတ်မြို့၌ ဖိလိတ္တိအမျိုးဖြစ်သော မိန်းမတယောက်ကို မြင်ခဲ့ပြီ။ ကျွန်ုပ် ကြင်ဘက်ဖြစ်ဘို့ရာ တောင်း၍ ပေးပါဟုဆိုသော်၊

ရှိသမျှသောသင်တို့၏ အမှုအရာ၌ ဤသို့ငါယူအပ်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါခံရသော ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို သင်တို့အပေါင်းသည် ဆက်ဆံကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ငါသည် အကျဉ်းခံရသော်၎င်း၊ ဧဝံဂလိတရားဘက်၌ သက်သေခံ ၍ ထိုတရားကို တည်စေသော်၎င်း၊ သင်တို့ကို အောက်မေ့၏။

but i have used none of these things: neither have i written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
သို့သော်လည်းထိုအခွင့်ကို ငါသည် အလျှင်းမသုံး။ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့အား ထိုသို့ပြုစေခြင်းငှါ ဤစကား ကို ငါရေးသည်မဟုတ်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါဝါကြွားခြင်းအခွင့်ကိုသူတပါးဖျက်ဆီးသည်ထက် ငါသေသော် သာ၍ ကောင်း၏။

and david said in his heart, i shall now perish one day by the hand of saul: there is nothing better for me than that i should speedily escape into the land of the philistines; and saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of israel: so shall i escape out of his hand.
