တဖန် မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ အထက်က ငွေအိတ်၊ လွယ်အိတ်၊ ခြေနင်းမပါဘဲ သွားကြလော့ဟု သင်တို့ကို ငါစေလွှတ်သောအခါ တစုံတခုလိုသလောဟု မေးလျှင်၊ တစုံတခုမျှ မလိုပါဟု လျှောက်ကြသော်၊

and commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:
သင်တို့သည် တောင်ဝေးတခုမှတပါး လမ်းခရီးတို့ အဘယ်အရာကိုမျှ မယူကြနှင့်။ လွယ်အိတ်နှင့်မုန့် မှစ၍ ခါးပန်း၌ ကြေးငွေကို မယူကြနှင့်။

and he said unto them, take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
သင်တို့သည် လမ်းခရီးဘို့ အဘယ်အရာကိုမျှမယူကြနှင့်။ တောင်ဝေး၊ လွယ်အိတ်၊ မုန့်၊ ငွေကို မယူကြ နှင့်။ အင်္ကျီနှစ်ထည်ကိုလည်း မပါစေကြနှင့်။

then said he unto them, but now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
ယခုမူကား ငွေအိတ်ရှိသောသူသည် ယူစေ။ လွယ်အိတ်ရှိသောသူသည် ယူစေ။ ထားမရှိသော သူသည် အဝတ်ကိုရောင်း၍ ထားကိုဝယ်စေ။

and he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the philistine.
တဖန် မိမိတောင်ဝေးကို ကိုင်လျက်၊ ချောသောကျောက်ငါးလုံးကို ချောင်းထဲက ရွေး၍၊ သိုးထိန်း တန်ဆာတည်းဟူသော လွယ်အိတ်၌ ထည့်ပြီးမှ၊ လောက်လွှဲကိုလည်းကိုင်၍ ဖိလိတ္တိလူရှိရာသို့ ချဉ်းလေ၏။
