Για να αποφευχθεί περαιτέρω κάθε καταστρατήγηση των ειδικών διατάξεων για τις συμφωνίες προμήθειας ζύθου και για τις συμφωνίες πρατηρίων βενζίνης, ο κοινοτικός νομοθέτης όρισε ότι δεν εφαρμόζονται οι διατάξεις σχετικά με την αποκλειστική πώληση προϊόντων σε συμφωνίες που συνάπτονται με σκοπό τη μεταπώληση ποτών σε εστιατόρια ή καυσίμων σε πρατήρια βενζίνης (άρθρο 8 του κανονισμού (ΕΟΚ) αριθ. 1983/83).
