तुम हमारे रसूलों से , जिन्हें हमने तुमसे पहले भेजा , पूछ लो कि क्या हमने रहमान के सिवा भी कुछ उपास्य ठहराए थे , जिनकी बन्दगी की जाए ?

and he said, while the child was yet alive, i fasted and wept: for i said, who can tell whether god will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
उस ने उत्तर दिया, कि जब तक बच्चा जीवित रहा तब तक तो मैं यह सोचकर उपवास करता और रोता रहा, कि क्या जाने यहोवा माुझ पर ऐसा अनुग्रह करे कि बच्चा जीवित रहे।

उस ने कहा, मैं तेरे सम्मुख होकर चलते हुए तुझे अपनी सारी भलाई दिखाऊंगा, और तेरे सम्मुख यहोवा नाम का प्रचार करूंगा, और जिस पर मैं अनुग्रह करना चाहूं उसी पर अनुग्रह करूंगा, और जिस पर दया करना चांहू उसी पर दया करूंगा।
