और तुम लोगों में से जिनसे बदकारी सरज़द हुई हो उनको मारो पीटो फिर अगर वह दोनों तौबा करें और इस्लाह कर लें तो उनको छोड़ दो बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा तौबा कुबूल करने वाला मेहरबान है

an apostle came to them who was one of them , but they called him a liar . then they were seized by torment for they were sinners .
कि भूक और ख़ौफ को ओढ़ना बना दिया और उन्हीं लोगों में का एक रसूल भी उनके पास आया तो उन्होंने उसे झुठलाया

beginning to be afraid of them . but they said , " don ' t be afraid " ; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge .
तो इबराहीम उनसे जो ही जी में डरे वह लोग बोले आप अन्देशा न करें और उनको एक दानिशमन्द लड़के की ख़ुशख़बरी दी

but when he saw that their hands did not reach towards it , he was wary and became fearful of them , but they said : ' do not be afraid . we are sent to thenation of lot '
फिर जब देखा कि उनके हाथ उसकी तरफ नहीं बढ़ते तो उनकी तरफ से बदगुमान हुए और जी ही जी में डर गए और कहने लगे आप डरे नहीं हम तो क़ौम लूत की तरफ भेजे गए हैं

and as for the tribe of the thamud we guided them but they preferred blindness to the guidance , wherefore the bolt of the torment of abjection laid hold of them because of that which they had been earning .
और रहे समूद तो हमने उनको सीधा रास्ता दिखाया , मगर उन लोगों ने हिदायत के मुक़ाबले में गुमराही को पसन्द किया तो उन की करतूतों की बदौलत ज़िल्लत के अज़ाब की बिजली ने उनको ले डाला

i also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them; because when i called, no one answered; when i spoke, they didn't listen; but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which i didn't delight."
इसलिये मैं भी उनके लिये दु:ख की बातें निकालूंगा, और जिन बातों से वे डरते हैं उन्हीं को उन पर लाऊंगा; क्योंकि जब मैं ने उन्हें बुलाया, तब कोई न बोला, और जब मैं ने उन से बातें की, तब उन्हों ने मेरी न सुनी; परन्तु जो मेरी दृष्टि में बुरा था वही वे करते रहे, और जिस से मैं अप्रसन्न होता था उसी को उन्हों ने अपनाया।। तुम जो यहोवा का वचन सुनकर थरथराते हो यहोवा का यह वचन सुनो:

and assuredly there came to them an apostle from among them , but they belied him , wherefore the torment took hold of them while yet they were wrong - doers .
कि भूक और ख़ौफ को ओढ़ना बना दिया और उन्हीं लोगों में का एक रसूल भी उनके पास आया तो उन्होंने उसे झुठलाया

and your lord has decreed that you worship none but him . and that you be dutiful to your parents . if one of them or both of them attain old age in your life , say not to them a word of disrespect , nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour .
और तुम्हारे परवरदिगार ने तो हुक्म ही दिया है कि उसके सिवा किसी दूसरे की इबादत न करना और माँ बाप से नेकी करना अगर उनमें से एक या दोनों तेरे सामने बुढ़ापे को पहुँचे तो न कहना और न उनको झिड़कना और जो कुछ कहना सुनना हो तो बहुत अदब से कहा करो

each of them we seized for his sin . on some we loosed a squall of pebbles , and others were seized by the cry . some we caused to be swallowed up by the earth , and some we drowned . allah would never wrong them but they wronged themselves .
तो हमने सबको उनके गुनाह की सज़ा में ले डाला चुनांन्चे उनमे से बाज़ तो वह थे जिन पर हमने पत्थर वाली ऑंधी भेजी और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिन को एक सख्त चिंघाड़ ने ले डाला और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिनको हमने ज़मीन मे धॅसा दिया और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिन्हें हमने डुबो मारा और ये बात नहीं कि ख़ुदा ने उन पर ज़ुल्म किया हो बल्कि ये लोग ख़ुद आप अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म करते रहे

" so your lord has decreed : do not worship anyone but him , and be good to your parents . if one or both of them grow old in your presence , do not say fie to them , nor reprove them , but say gentle words to them
और तुम्हारे परवरदिगार ने तो हुक्म ही दिया है कि उसके सिवा किसी दूसरे की इबादत न करना और माँ बाप से नेकी करना अगर उनमें से एक या दोनों तेरे सामने बुढ़ापे को पहुँचे तो न कहना और न उनको झिड़कना और जो कुछ कहना सुनना हो तो बहुत अदब से कहा करो
