Vous avez cherché: rainforests (Anglais - Letton)

acai is a palm tree from the rainforests of the amazon.
acai palma ir sastopama amazones lietus mežos.

it is also leading to the destruction of rainforests with devastating effects.
tas izraisa arī tropisko mežu iznīcināšanu, kam ir postošas sekas.

the role of the rainforests is crucial to the world's climate.
tropu meži ļoti lielā mērā ietekmē pasaules klimatu.

for me they're a reminder that rainforests are the lungs of the world.
man tas ir atgādinājums, ka lietusmeži ir pasaules plaušas.

increased demand for biofuels in europe is diametrically opposed to the protection of the rainforests.
sekas pieaugošajam pieprasījumam pēc biodegvielām eiropā ir pilnīgi pretējas tropu mežu aizsardzībai.

biofuels are either produced on new land produced by destroying the rainforests, or on converted existing farm land.
biodegviela tiek ražota vai nu izmantojot jaunas zemes platības, tādējādi iznīcinot tropu mežus, vai arī mainot pašreizējās lauksaimniecības zemes izmantošanas veidu.

back on land, rainforests are being decimated for developments that take no account of the many valuable ecological services they provide.
savukārt lietus meži tiek masveidā iznīcināti, absolūti neņemot vērā to nodrošinātās vērtīgās ekoloģiskās funkcijas.

not only are biofuels driving up the price of agricultural commodities; they are also contributing to faster devastation of the rainforests.
biodegviela ne tikai paaugstina lauksaimniecības preču cenu, tā arī veicina straujāku lietus mežu postīšanu.

because such fuels drive up local food prices and endanger rainforests, importing them from the developing world is not to be recommended.
tā kā šāda degviela paaugstina vietējās pārtikas cenas un apdraud lietusmežus, imports no jaunattīstības valstīm nav ieteicams.

up to a certain level they positively replace fossil energy, but on a larger scale they endanger the rainforests and the food supply of third world countries.
līdz noteiktam līmenim tās var veiksmīgi aizvietot fosilo enerģiju, taču plašā mērogā tās apdraud lietus mežus un pārtikas apgādi trešās pasaules valstīs.

but under strictly controlled conditions biofuels can help towards a more sustainable system of energy supply, subject to guarantees that tropical rainforests will not be felled in order to fill up our cars.
taču stingri kontrolētos apstākļos biodegvielas var veicināt ilgtspējīgākas energoapgādes sistēmas izveidi, kas paredz, ka tropiskie lietus meži netiks izcirsti, lai nodrošinātu degvielu automobiļiem.

there are alarming reports about burning rainforests, destruction of wildlife habitats and unsustainably intensive farming practices – to mention just a few frequently voiced anxieties.
satraucošas ir ziņas par degošiem tropu mežiem, savvaļas biotopu iznīcināšanu un intensīvu, ilgtspējīgas attīstības principiem neatbilstošu lauksaimniecību — ja minam tikai dažas no nereti paustajām bažām.

in countries where a large-scale expansion of feedstock production is likely to take place, environmental concerns relate to pressures on eco-sensitive areas, like rainforests.
valstīs, kur sagaidāma plaša izejvielu ražošanas attīstība, vides apsvērumi ir saistīti ar spiedienu uz ekoloģiski jutīgām teritorijām, tādām kā tropu meži.
