danger of a 3m deep hugh open junction drain sump outside of 88, jalan sultan nazrin shah, 30250 ipoh this is to inform y. bhg dato’, majlis bandaraya ipoh have built a 3m deep hugh junction drain sump which is a danger to traffic travelling along jalan sultan nazrin shah, ipoh. this is because a) the inner traffic lane line coincides with the outer edge of the drain sump b) the said sump protrudes about 300mm above the road surface. my complain was proven correct because at 6.20 pm on 14/12/12020 a terrible accident happened. a car hit the top of the sump. it took off the thick concrete cover and causing the sump measuring about 2m x 2m to be exposed. now we have another problem because of a) the depth of the sump b) there is no cover c) there are concrete and brick pieces thrown about all over because of the accident d) any motor cyclist hitting and falling into the sump at night may die due to the sump depth. i attach herewith some photographs of the damaged open sump for y. bhg dato’s reference. hope y. bhg dato’ will look into this matter with urgency as another accident can likely happen again.
