ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކުރިން އުޅުނު ބަޔަކުވެސް، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެފަދަ سؤال ކުރިއެވެ. ދެން (އެކަންކަމުގެ حكم ބަޔާންކުރެއްވި ހިނދު) އެކަންކަމަށް كافر ވި ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި އެއުރެންވިއެވެ.

and afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised!
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އަވަސްވުން އެދެނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

except those who repent afterwards, and reform; for god is forgiving and merciful.
އެއަށްފަހު، توبة ވެ (عمل ތައް) إصلاح ކޮށްފި މީހުން މެނުވީއެވެ. ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފުފުއްސަވާ رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

except for those who repent afterwards, and reform; for god is forgiving and merciful.
އެއަށްފަހު توبة ވެ (عمل ތައް) إصلاح ކޮށްފިމީހުން މެނުވީއެވެ. ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ، رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

except those among them that afterwards repent and mend their ways. allah is forgiving, merciful.
އެއަށްފަހު توبة ވެ (عمل ތައް) إصلاح ކޮށްފިމީހުން މެނުވީއެވެ. ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ، رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. and i am forgiving and merciful.
އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އަނިޔާވެރިވެ، ނުބައިކަމެއް ކުރުމަށްފަހު، އޭގެބަދަލުގައި ރަނގަޅުކަމެއްކޮށްފި މީހަކަށް، ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ، رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

afterwards we revealed unto thee: follow thou the faith of ibrahim the upright; and he was not of the associaters.
ދެން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް وحى ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. باطل މަގުން އެއްކިބާވެ، ސީދާމަގުގައިވާ إبراهيم ގެފާނުގެ دين އަށް، ކަލޭގެފާނު تبع ވެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، مشرك ންގެ ތެރެއިން އެކަލޭގެފާނު ނުވެތެވެ.

afterwards. we raised them up again, that we might know which of the two parties would better calculate the while they had tarried.
ދެން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން (ނިދީން ހޭލައްވައި) އަލުން ފޮނުއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން (ނިދާފައި) ތިބި މުއްދަތު އެންމެ ހަމަޔަށް ހިމަނަނީ، ދެބައިމީހުންކުރެ ކޮންބަޔެއްކަން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާކަން ހާމަކުރެއްވުމަށެވެ.

surely, your lord to those who commit evil through ignorance and afterwards repent, and mend their ways your lord thereafter is surely forgiving, merciful.
ދެން ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ (ފާފަފުއްސެވުން) ވަނީ، ނޭނގިތިބެގެން، ނުބައިކަންތައްކޮށް، ދެން އެއަށްފަހު توبة ވެ، إصلاح ވެގަތް ބަޔަކަށެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއީ، އެކަންތަކަށްފަހުވެސް، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ، رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of hell, and the punishment of burning.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، مؤمن ފިރިހެނުންނާއި، مؤمن އަންހެނުން، دين ން އެއްކިބާކުރުމަށް އަނިޔާދީ އުނދަގޫކޮށް، ދެން توبة ނުވި މީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް ނަރަކައިގެ عذاب ހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް އަނދައަނދާ ހުންނަ އަލިފާނުގެ عذاب ހުށްޓެވެ.

"except him who has done wrong and afterwards has changed evil for good, then surely, i am oft-forgiving, most merciful.
އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އަނިޔާވެރިވެ، ނުބައިކަމެއް ކުރުމަށްފަހު، އޭގެބަދަލުގައި ރަނގަޅުކަމެއްކޮށްފި މީހަކަށް، ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ، رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

allah accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will allah turn in mercy: for allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.
توبة ލެއްވުން اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން އޮތްކަން ކަށަވަރީ، ނޭނގިތިބުމާއެކު ނުބައިކަންތައްކޮށް، ދެން، އެކަންތައް ކުރުމާ ގާތުގައި (ލަސްނުކޮށް) توبة ވެ އުޅޭމީހުންނަށެވެ. ފަހެ، اللَّه، އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް توبة ލައްވަތެވެ. އަދި، މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޮޑިގެންވާ حكيم ވަންތަ ކަލަކު ކަމުގައި اللَّه ވޮޑިގެންވެއެވެ.

o ye who believe! if a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެގާތަށް فاسق އަކު خبر އަކާއިގެން އަތުވެއްޖެނަމަ، އޭގެ ދޮގުތެދުބަލައި، حقيقة ހޯދާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ނޭނގިތިބެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ބަޔަކަށް ގެއްލުންދެވިދާނެތީއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެހެންވެއްޖެނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރިކަންތަކުގެ މައްޗަށް ހިތާމަކުރާ ބަޔަކުކަމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވެދާނެތެވެ.

allah said: surely i will send it down to you, but whoever shall disbelieve afterwards from among you, surely i will chastise him with a chastisement with which i will not chastise, anyone among the nations.
اللَّه، وحى ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އެ ދޮލަނގު ބާވައިލައްވާހުށީމެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއަށްފަހު ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން، كافر ވެއްޖެމީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، عالم ތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން އެކަކަށްވެސް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ނުދެއްވާ عذاب އެއް އެމީހަކަށް ދެއްވާހުށީމެވެ.
