(އެއީ) ނަރަކައެވެ. އެއުރެން އެތަނަށްވަދެ އަނދާނެތެވެ. އަދި އެއީ، ތިބުމަށް ހާދަހާ ނުބައި ތަނެކެވެ!

as for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be!
ވާތްފަރާތުގެ މީހުންނެވެ. ވާތްފަރާތުގެ މީހުންނީ، ކޮންބަޔެއްހެއްޔެވެ؟

we did not send down to you the quran that you should be miserable,
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ މައްޗަށް މި قرآن ބާވައިލެއްވީ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ހިތްޕުޅު ދަތިވެ، އަބާއްޖަވެރިވުމަކަށް ނޫނެވެ.

hell; in which they will roast; what a miserable abode!
(އެއީ) جهنم އެވެ. އެއުރެން އެތަނަށްވަންނަ ހުށްޓެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ ތަންމަތީގެ ހުރި ނުބައިކަމާއެވެ!

and we rained upon them a rain. miserable was the rain of those forewarned.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް (ހިލައިގެ) ވާރެއެއް ވެއްސެވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، إنذار ވެވުނު މީހުންގެ (މައްޗަށް ވެހުނު) ވާރޭގެ ނުބައިކަމާއެވެ!

a brief enjoyment, then their abode is hell. what a miserable resort.
(އެއީ) ކުޑަކުޑަ ވަގުތީ އަރާމެކެވެ. ދެން، އެއުރެން ތިބެނިވި ތަނަކީ ނަރަކައެވެ. އަދި، އެ ތަންމަތީގެ ހުރި ނުބައިކަމާއެވެ!

am i not better than this miserable wretch, who can barely express himself?
އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ މިހިރަ ދެރަނިކަމެތި މީހާއަށްވުރެ (އެބަހީ: موسى ގެފާނަށްވުރެ) ތިމަން މާމޮޅެވެ. އޭނާއީ، ދައްކާ ވާހަކަ بيان ކޮށްދިނުމާ ގާތްވެސް ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

"(he) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
އަދި މިއަޅާގެ މަންމާއަށް ހެޔޮކޮށް ހިތާމީހަކު ކަމުގައިވުމަށްވެހެވެ. އަދި މިއަޅާޔަކީ އަބާއްޖަވެރި، جبّـار އަކު ކަމުގައި ނުލައްވަތެވެ.

and the fellows on the left hand; how miserable shall the fellows on the left hand be!
ވާތްފަރާތުގެ މީހުންނެވެ. ވާތްފަރާތުގެ މީހުންނީ، ކޮންބަޔެއްހެއްޔެވެ؟

as for those who are miserable, they will be in the fire. they will have therein sighing and wailing.
ފަހެ، އަބާއްޖަވެރިވި މީހުން ދަންނާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ވާހުށީ، ނަރަކައިގައެވެ. އެއުރެން ބޭރަށްލާ ނޭވާގެ ގަދަ އަޑާއި، އެތެރެއަށްލާ ނޭވާގެ އަޑު އެތާނގައި ހުންނާނެތެވެ.

he will precede his people on the day of resurrection, and will lead them into the fire. miserable is the place he placed them in.
قيامة ދުވަހުން، އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ކުރީގައިހުރެ، އެއުރެން ނަރަކައަށް ގެންގޮސް ވައްދާނެތެވެ. (އެއުރެންނަށް) ވަދެވޭތަނުގެ ހުރި ނުބައިކަމާއެވެ!

for those who have fear (of disobeying god), not to make you, (muhammad), miserable.
(اللَّه އަށް) ބިރުވެތިވާ މީހަކަށް ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައި މެނުވީ (ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ قرآن ބާވައެއް ނުލައްވަމެވެ.)

strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. their abode is hell—what a miserable destination!
އޭ ނަބިއްޔާއެވެ! كافر ންނާއި، منافق ންނާ ދެކޮޅަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު جهاد ކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ހަރުކަށިވެ ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! އަދި (آخرة ދުވަހުން) އެއުރެން ތިބެނިވި ތަނަކީ ނަރަކައެވެ. އަދި (އެއީ) ހާދަހާ ނުބައިވެގެންވާ ނިމިދިޔުމެކެވެ.

a good land produces plants, by the permission of its lord, but a wicked land produces only miserable, bitter plants. thus do we show a variety of evidence for those who give thanks.

is someone who pursues god's approval the same as someone who incurs god's wrath and his refuge is hell—the miserable destination?
ފަހެ، اللَّه ގެ ރުއްސެވުމަށް تبع ވީމީހާ، اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން އަންނަ ކޯފާއަކާއިގެން އެނބުރި އައިމީހެއްފަދަ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި، އެމީހަކު (އެބަހީ: اللَّه ގެ ކޯފާއާއިގެން އައި މީހަކު) އުޅޭނެތަނަކީ، جهنّم އެވެ. (އެއީ) ހާދަހާ ނުބައިވެގެންވާ ނިމިދިއުމެކެވެ.

miserable is what they sold their souls for—rejecting what god has revealed, out of resentment that god would send down his grace upon whomever he chooses from among his servants. thus they incurred wrath upon wrath.
އެއުރެންގެ نفس ތައް އެކަމަކަށް ވިއްކައިލި ކަމެއްގެ ނުބައިކަން ބޮޑުކަމާއެވެ! އެއީ، اللَّه ބާވައިލެއްވި ތަކެއްޗަށް (އެބަހީ: قرآن އަށް) އެއުރެން كافر ވުމެވެ. (އެއުރެން އެ كافر ވީ) اللَّه ގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުން އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުތަކުންގެ ތެރެއިން އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރެއްވި ބަޔަކުގެ މައްޗަށް ބާވައިލެއްވި ބާވައިލެއްވުމަށް حسد ވެރިވުމުގެ ގޮތުންނެވެ. ދެން ކޯފާގެ މައްޗަށް ކޯފާ އާއިގެން އެއުރެން އެނބުރި އަތުވެއްޖައޫއެވެ. އަދި كافر ންނަށް ހުރީ އިހާނަތްތެރިކަން ދެނިވި عذاب އެވެ.

so we unleashed upon them a screaming wind, for a few miserable days, to make them taste the punishment of shame in this life; but the punishment of the hereafter is more shameful; and they will not be saved.
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ސުންޕާދުވަސްތަކެއްގައި، ގަދަ އަޑާއި، ގަދަ ފިނީގެ ވަޔެއް ފޮނުއްވީމެވެ. ދުނިޔޭގެ حياة ގައި ނިކަމެތިކަމުގެ عذاب ގެ ރަހަ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް ދެއްކެވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، آخرة ގެ عذاب ގެ ނިކަމެތިކަން މާބޮޑެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަކަށް نصر އެއް ނުލިބޭނެތެވެ.
