those of them with whom thou madest a treaty, and then at every opportunity they break their treaty, and they keep not duty (to allah).
އެއުރެންނަކީ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނާ عهد ކުރެއްވި މީހުންނެވެ. ދެން ކޮންމެފަހަރަކު، އެއުރެން، އެއުރެންގެ عهد އުވާލައެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން (اللَّه އަށް) ބިރުވެތިވާކަމުގައި ނުވެތެވެ.

or, on seeing the torment, it would say, "would i have the opportunity, this time i would certainly become a pious person".
ނުވަތަ އެމީހަކަށް عذاب ފެނިގެން އަންނަހިނދު، މިއަޅާޔަށް އަދި އެއްފަހަރު (ދުނިޔެއަށް) رجوع ވުމެއް ލިބޭނެނަމައޭ ބުނަންޖެހިދާނެތީއެވެ. ފަހެ، އޭރުން ތިމަންއަޅާ ވާހުށީ، إحسان ތެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ.

remember, as you were rushing up (the hill) without turning back to look, though the prophet was calling you from the rear, he requited you with anguish for an anguish that you do not fret for missed opportunity and what befell you, for god is aware of all that you do,
(އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަކަށްވެސް އެނބުރި ބަލައިނުލައި ދުރަށްދިޔަ ހިނދުގައެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ފަހަތުން رسول އާ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ގޮވާލައްވާ حال ގައެވެ. ދެން، މޮޅިވެރިކަމަކާ ވިދިގެން މޮޅިވެރިކަމަކުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ޖަޒާ ދެއްވިއެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް (غنيمة އިން) ފާއިތުވީ އެއްޗެއްގެ މައްޗަށާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ޖެހުނު ކަންތަކުގެ މައްޗަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހިތާމަ ނުކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. اللَّه އީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރާ ކަންތައް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.
