ޒުވާންކަންމަތީ ދެމިތިބޭ ޒުވާން ފިރިހެންކުދިން، އެއުރެންގެ خدمة ގައި ބުރުޖަހާނެތެވެ.

اللَّه އެއުރެންގެ ހުރިހާކަމެއް ފުރިހަމަޔަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވެތެވެ.

we have indeed created man surrounded by hardships.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އިންސާނާ ހައްދަވައި، ވަރުބަލިވުމާއި ގަދަ މަސައްކަތުގެ ތެރެޔަށް ލެއްވީމެވެ.

so the evils of their deeds struck them, and what they used to mock at surrounded them.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން عمل ކުޅަގޮތުގެ ނުބައި ޖަޒާތައް، އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެހުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން އެކަމަކަށް މަލާމާތްކޮށް އުޅުނު ކަންތައް އައިސް އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

so that the evils of what they did smote them, and that which they used to mock surrounded them.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން عمل ކުޅަގޮތުގެ ނުބައި ޖަޒާތައް، އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެހުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން އެކަމަކަށް މަލާމާތްކޮށް އުޅުނު ކަންތައް އައިސް އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

messengers before you were also ridiculed, but those who jeered were surrounded by what they had ridiculed.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ رسول ންނަށްވެސް ފުރައްސާރަކުރިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ رسول ންނަށް ފުރައްސާރަކޮށް އުޅުނުމީހުން ކުރަމުންގެންދިޔަ ފުރައްސާރައިގެ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: އެކަމުގެ ކޯފާއާއި عذاب) އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

then, the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that at which they used to mock surrounded them.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން عمل ކުޅަގޮތުގެ ނުބައި ޖަޒާތައް، އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެހުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން އެކަމަކަށް މަލާމާތްކޮށް އުޅުނު ކަންތައް އައިސް އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

there will appear to them the evils of their deeds, and they will be surrounded by what they used to ridicule.
އެއުރެންހޯދި ނުބައި عمل ތަކުގެ ޖަޒާ އެއުރެންނަށް ފާޅުވާހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ފުރައްސާރަކޮށްއުޅުނު ކަންތައްތައް (އެބަހީ: އެކަމުގެ عذاب) އެއުރެން ވަށައިލާހުށްޓެވެ.

messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ رسول ންނަށްވެސް ފުރައްސާރަކުރިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ رسول ންނަށް ފުރައްސާރަކޮށް އުޅުނުމީހުން ކުރަމުންގެންދިޔަ ފުރައްސާރައިގެ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: އެކަމުގެ ކޯފާއާއި عذاب) އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

and assuredly mocked were the apostles before thee, then there surrounded those of them who scoffed that whereat they had been mocking!
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ رسول ންނަށްވެސް ފުރައްސާރަކުރިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ رسول ންނަށް ފުރައްސާރަކޮށް އުޅުނުމީހުން ކުރަމުންގެންދިޔަ ފުރައްސާރައިގެ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: އެކަމުގެ ކޯފާއާއި عذاب) އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

give them the parable of two men. to one we gave two gardens of vines and surrounded them with palm trees and in between the two we placed a sownfield.
ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނަށް ދެފިރިހެނެއްގެ مثال ޖައްސަވައިދެއްވާށެވެ! އެ ދެމީހުންކުރެ އެކަކަށް، މޭބިސްކަދުރުގެ ދެ ބަގީޗާ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެ ދެ ބަގީޗާގެ ވަށައިގެން ކަދުރުރުއްތައް ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެދެމެދުގައި ދަނޑުގޮވާންވެސް ލެއްވީމެވެ.

and when their apostles came unto them with evidences, they exulted in the knowledge which was with them, and there surrounded them that which they had been mocking.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ رسول ން ފާޅުވެގެންވާ ހެކިތަކާއިގެން އެއުރެންގެގާތަށް ވަޑައިގަތްހިނދު، އެއުރެންގެ ގާތުގައިވާ (ދުނިޔޭގެ) علم އަށްޓަކައި، އެއުރެން އުފާކުރޫއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ފުރައްސާރަކޮށްއުޅުނު ކަންތައްއައިސް އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

and indeed (many) messengers were mocked before you, but their scoffers were surrounded by the very thing that they used to mock at.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ رسول ންނަށްވެސް ފުރައްސާރަކުރިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ رسول ންނަށް ފުރައްސާރަކޮށް އުޅުނު މީހުން ކުރަމުންގެންދިޔަ ފުރައްސާރައިގެ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: އެކަމުގެ ކޯފާއާއި عذاب) އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

god tells a parable about a secure and peaceful town surrounded by abundant sustenance. its inhabitants rejected the bounties of god and he caused them to suffer hunger and fear as a result of their deeds.
އަމާންވެ، ހިތްހަމަޖެހިގެންވާ ރަށެއްގެ مثال ން، اللَّه مثال އެއް ޖެއްސެވިއެވެ. ކޮންމެ ދިމާޔަކުން ތަނަވަސްވެގެންވާ ގޮތުގައި، އެ ރަށަށް رزق އާދެތެވެ. ދެން اللَّه ގެ نعمة ތަކަށް އެ ރަށުގެ މީހުން كافر ވޫއެވެ. ދެން އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅުނު ކަންތަކުގެ ސަބަބުން، ބަނޑުހައިހޫނުކަމާއި، ބިރުވެރިކަމުގެ ފޭރާންލައްވައި، އެކަމުގެ ރަހަ އެއުރެންނަށް اللَّه ދެއްކެވިއެވެ.

and cite for them the parable of two men. to one of them we gave two gardens of vine, and we surrounded them with palms-trees, and we placed between them crops.
ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނަށް ދެފިރިހެނެއްގެ مثال ޖައްސަވައިދެއްވާށެވެ! އެ ދެމީހުންކުރެ އެކަކަށް، މޭބިސްކަދުރުގެ ދެ ބަގީޗާ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެ ދެ ބަގީޗާގެ ވަށައިގެން ކަދުރުރުއްތައް ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެދެމެދުގައި ދަނޑުގޮވާންވެސް ލެއްވީމެވެ.

(muhammad), tell them the parable of the two men. to one of them we had given two gardens of vines surrounded by the palm trees with a piece of farm land between them
ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނަށް ދެފިރިހެނެއްގެ مثال ޖައްސަވައިދެއްވާށެވެ! އެ ދެމީހުންކުރެ އެކަކަށް، މޭބިސްކަދުރުގެ ދެ ބަގީޗާ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެ ދެ ބަގީޗާގެ ވަށައިގެން ކަދުރުރުއްތައް ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެދެމެދުގައި ދަނޑުގޮވާންވެސް ލެއްވީމެވެ.

indeed (many) messengers were mocked before you (o muhammad saw), but the scoffers were surrounded by that, whereat they used to mock.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ رسول ންނަށްވެސް ފުރައްސާރަކުރިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ رسول ންނަށް ފުރައްސާރަކޮށް އުޅުނުމީހުން ކުރަމުންގެންދިޔަ ފުރައްސާރައިގެ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: އެކަމުގެ ކޯފާއާއި عذاب) އެއުރެން ވަށައިލިއެވެ.

[jacob] said, "never will i send him with you until you give me a promise by allah that you will bring him [back] to me, unless you should be surrounded by enemies." and when they had given their promise, he said, "allah, over what we say, is witness."
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް عداوة ތެރިންގެ ބަޔަކު ގަދަވެއްޖެހިނދަކު މެނުވީ، އޭނާ އަނބުރާ ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް ގެނެސްދޭންކަމަށް، اللَّه ގެ حضرة ންވާ عهد އެއް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނަށް ގެނެސްދީފުމަށް ދާނދެން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއެކު އޭނާއެއް ނުފޮނުއްވާ ހުށީމެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ ކަށަވަރުވެގެންވާ عهد ގެ ބަސް ގެނެސްގަތްހިނދު، އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން މިބުނާ އެއްޗަކަށް، اللَّه ހެކިވެވޮޑިގެންވާނެތެވެ.
