and those who stand by their testimony
އެއުރެންނީ، އެއުރެންގެ ހެކިބަސް ފުރިހަމަޔަށް އަދާކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony,
އަދި ހެކިދޭ ފަރާތާއި، ހެކިދެވޭ ފަރާތް ގަންދެއްވަމެވެ.

those who do not give false testimony, and when they come upon frivolity, pass by with dignity.
އަދި އެއުރެންނީ ދޮގުހެކިނުދޭ މީހުންނެވެ. އަދި ބޭކާރު ބަސްތަކާއި ކަންތައް ދިމާވާހިނދު، މާތްމީހުންގެ ގޮތުގައި ފަހަނަޅައިދާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour.
އަދި އެއުރެންނީ ދޮގުހެކިނުދޭ މީހުންނެވެ. އަދި ބޭކާރު ބަސްތަކާއި ކަންތައް ދިމާވާހިނދު، މާތްމީހުންގެ ގޮތުގައި ފަހަނަޅައިދާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and the punishment shall be averted from the woman if she bears the testimony four times by the name of allah, that the man is a liar.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާއީ ދޮގުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންވާ މީހެއްކަމަށް اللَّه ގަންދީ އެކަނބުލޭގެ ހަތަރުހުވައިން ހުވާކުރުމުން، އެކަނބުލޭގެ ކިބައިން عقوبات (އެބަހީ: حد ޖެހުން) ކެނޑޭނެތެވެ.

and who does greater evil than he who conceals a testimony received from god? and god is not heedless of the things you do.'
އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން إبراهيم ގެފާނާއި إسماعيل ގެފާނާއި إسحاق ގެފާނާއި يعقوب ގެފާނާއި يعقوب ގެފާނުގެ أسباط ންނީ، يهودى ން ކަމުގައި ނުވަތަ نصارى އިން ކަމުގައި ވީކަމަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބުނަނީހެއްޔެވެ؟ ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! (އެކަންއޮތްގޮތް) ބޮޑަށް އެނގެނީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ (އެކަން ދެނެވޮޑިގަތުންބޮޑީ) اللَّه ހެއްޔެވެ؟ اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން އެމީހަކަށް ލިބިފައިވާ ހެކި ވަންހަނާކޮށްފި މީހަކަށްވުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިކަންބޮޑީ ކާކުހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރާ عمل ތަކާމެދު، غافل ވެ ވޮޑިގެންވާ ކަލަކު ކަމުގައި اللَّه ނުވެއެވެ.

but if you trust one another, let the trustee fulfill his trust, and let him fear god, his lord. and do not conceal testimony.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (ދަރަނީގެ معاملة އެއް ކުރާހިނދު) ދަތުރެއްގެ މަތީގައިވެފައި ލިޔާނެ މީހަކު ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ނުލިބުނުނަމަ، ފަހެ، އަތުގައި ބާއްވާ رهن އެއް ދޭހުށިކަމެވެ! ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންކުރެ އެކަކު އަނެކަކާ أمانة އެއް حوال ކޮށްފިނަމަ، ފަހެ، އެ أمانة އާ حوال ވި މީހާ، އޭނާގެ أمانة ރައްދުކުރާ ހުށިކަމެވެ! އަދި، އޭނާގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަމުގައިވާ اللَّه އަށް، އޭނާ تقوى ވެރިވާހުށިކަމެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހެކިބަސް ވަންހަނާ ނުކުރާހުށިކަމެވެ! އެކަން ވަންހަނާކުރާ މީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާއީ، އޭނާގެ ހިތް ފާފަވެރިވެގެންވާ މީހެކެވެ. اللَّه އީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންކުރާ ކަންތައް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and those who cast it up on their wives having no witnesses except themselves, the testimony of one of them shall be to testify by god four times that he is of the truthful,
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس ތައް މެނުވީ ހެކިދޭބަޔަކު އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބިގެންނުވާ حال، އެއުރެންގެ އަނބީންނަށް قذف ކުރާމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއިން ކޮންމެ މީހަކު، اللَّه ގަންދީ ހަތަރު ހުވައިން ހުވާކުރުން ހުށްޓެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާއީ ތެދުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންވާ މީހަކު ކަމަށެވެ.

and those who accuse their wives and do not have witnesses except their own statements – for such the testimony is that he bear the testimony four times by the name of allah that he is truthful.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس ތައް މެނުވީ ހެކިދޭބަޔަކު އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބިގެންނުވާ حال، އެއުރެންގެ އަނބީންނަށް قذف ކުރާމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއިން ކޮންމެ މީހަކު، اللَّه ގަންދީ ހަތަރު ހުވައިން ހުވާކުރުން ހުށްޓެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާއީ ތެދުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންވާ މީހަކު ކަމަށެވެ.

and (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: this is that which i have ready (as testimony).
އަދި އޭނާޔާ حوال ވެފައިވާ ملائكة އާ ވިދާޅުވާނެތެވެ. އަހުރެންނާއެކު حاضر ކުރައްވާފައިވަނީ އޭނާގެ عمل ތަކުގެ ފަތެވެ.

and those who accuse chaste women and do not bring four witnesses to testify – punish them with eighty lashes and do not ever accept their testimony; and it is they who are the wicked.
عفّة ތެރި އަންހެނުންނަށް قذف ކުރާމީހުން (އެކަމުގެ މައްޗަށް) ހަތަރު ހެކިން ނުގެނައިނަމަ، ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެގައިގައި އަށްޑިހަ އެތިފަހަރުން (حد) ޖަހާށެވެ! އަދި ދުވަހަކުވެސް އެއުރެންގެ ހެކިބަހެއް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން قبول ނުކުރާށެވެ! އަދި އެއުރެންނީ، ހަމަ، فاسق ންނެވެ.

and as for those who accuse their wives and there are not for them witnesses except themselves, the testimony of one of them shall be four testimonies by allah: that verily he is of the truth-tellers
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس ތައް މެނުވީ ހެކިދޭބަޔަކު އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބިގެންނުވާ حال، އެއުރެންގެ އަނބީންނަށް قذف ކުރާމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއިން ކޮންމެ މީހަކު، اللَّه ގަންދީ ހަތަރު ހުވައިން ހުވާކުރުން ހުށްޓެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާއީ ތެދުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންވާ މީހަކު ކަމަށެވެ.

but allah is the witness of what he has sent down upon you – he has sent it down by his knowledge; and the angels are witnesses; and sufficient is allah’s testimony.
އެހެނެއްކަމަކު ކަލޭގެފާނަށް، اللَّه ބާވައިލެއްވި ފޮތާމެދު اللَّه ހެކިވެވޮޑިގެންވެއެވެ. އެ ފޮތް ބާވައިލެއްވީ، އެކަލާނގެ ދެނެވޮޑިގަތުމާއެކުގައެވެ. އަދި ملائكة ންވެސް (އެކަމަށް) ހެކިވެވަޑައިގަންނަވަތެވެ. ހެކިވެރިޔަކު ކަމުގައި اللَّه ފުދެއެވެ.

and for those who accuse their wives, but have no witnesses except themselves, let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies (i.e. testifies four times) by allah that he is one of those who speak the truth.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس ތައް މެނުވީ ހެކިދޭބަޔަކު އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބިގެންނުވާ حال، އެއުރެންގެ އަނބީންނަށް قذف ކުރާމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއިން ކޮންމެ މީހަކު، اللَّه ގަންދީ ހަތަރު ހުވައިން ހުވާކުރުން ހުށްޓެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާއީ ތެދުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންވާ މީހަކު ކަމަށެވެ.
