އަދި ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ފާފަވެރިކަމުގެ މަތީގައި ދެމިތިބޭ ބަޔަކުކަމުގައި އެއުރެންވޫއެވެ.

and inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness.
ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެ އެ نفس އަށް (ގެއްލުންހުރި) ނުބައިގޮތާއި (ފައިދާހުރި) ހެޔޮގޮތް އެނގުމުގެ ވިސްނުން ދެއްވިއެވެ.

the wickedness of each of that is hateful to your lord.
އެ އެންމެހާ ކަންތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން، ނުބައިކަންތައް، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި ނުރުއްސަވާ ކަންތައް ކަމުގައިވިއެވެ.

and inspired it with the wickedness thereof and the piety thereof,
ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެ އެ نفس އަށް (ގެއްލުންހުރި) ނުބައިގޮތާއި (ފައިދާހުރި) ހެޔޮގޮތް އެނގުމުގެ ވިސްނުން ދެއްވިއެވެ.

and inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,
ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެ އެ نفس އަށް (ގެއްލުންހުރި) ނުބައިގޮތާއި (ފައިދާހުރި) ހެޔޮގޮތް އެނގުމުގެ ވިސްނުން ދެއްވިއެވެ.

they restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. verily evil was that they used to do!
އެއުރެންކުޅަ ނުބައިކަންތައް، އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކަށް ނަހީކޮށެއް ނުއުޅެތެވެ. އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅުނު ކަންތަކުގެ ނުބައިކަމާއެވެ!

when the sentence will have been passed upon them for their wickedness, they will not be able to say a word.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައިވާ عذاب އައިސް ޖެހިއްޖެއެވެ. އެއީ އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިވީ ކަމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަކަށް (އެދުވަހުން) އެއްވެސް ވާހަކައެއް ނުދެއްކޭނެތެވެ.

all of that -- the wickedness of it is hateful in the sight of thy lord has revealed to thee:
އެ އެންމެހާ ކަންތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން، ނުބައިކަންތައް، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި ނުރުއްސަވާ ކަންތައް ކަމުގައިވިއެވެ.

such is the punishment of your lord when he seizes human settlements in the acts of wickedness. surely his hold is grievous and terrible.
ރަށްތައް (އެބަހީ: ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން) އަނިޔާވެރިވެގެންވާ حال، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ރަށްތައް ހިއްޕަވާހިނދު، އެކަލާނގެ ހިއްޕެވުންއޮތީ، އެފަދައިންނެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލާނގެ ހިއްޕެވުމަކީ، ވޭންދެނިވި، ގަދަފަދަ ކަމެކެވެ.

do not let the, unbelievers imagine that the respite we give them is good for them. we give them respite so that they may grow in wickedness.
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް (ޖަޒާ ދެއްވުމުގައި) ލަސްކުރެއްވުން އެއީ، އެއުރެންގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس ތަކަށް ހެޔޮގޮތެއްކަމަށް كافر ވި މީހުން ހީނުކުރާހުށިކަމެވެ! ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް އެކަން ލަސްކުރައްވާކަން ކަށަވަރީ، އެއުރެންގެ ފާފަ އިތުރުވުމަށެވެ. އަދި، އެއުރެންނަށް އިހާނަތްތެރިކަން ދެނިވި عذاب ހުށްޓެވެ.

but as for those in whose hearts is disease, it only addeth wickedness to their wickedness, and they die while they are disbelievers.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ހިތްތަކުގައި ބަލިމަޑުކަމެއްވާ މީހުން ދަންނާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ كافر ކަމުގެ ތެރެއަށް كافر ކަން އެއުރެންނަށް އިތުރުވިއެވެ. އަދި كافر ން ކަމުގައިވާ حال، އެއުރެން މަރުވިއެވެ.

his companion will say: "o lord, i did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray."
އޭނާޔާ އެކުގައިވާ شيطان އާ ބުނާނެތެވެ. އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އޭނާ މަގުފުރެއްދީ ތިމަންނައެއް ނޫނެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އޭނާވީ ދުރުވެގެންވާ މަގުފުރެދުމެއްގައެވެ.

allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. he exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، عدل ވެރިވުމަށާއި، إحسان ތެރިވުމަށާއި، ގާތްތިމާގެ މީހުންނަށް ހެޔޮފޯރުވުމަށް اللَّه އަމުރުކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ހުތުރުކަން ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ފާފަތަކާއި، منكرات ތަކާއި، އަނިޔާވެރިވެ އުޅުން، އެކަލާނގެ ނަހީކުރައްވަތެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް، وعظ އިއްވަވަނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and they rejected them, although their souls were certain of them, out of wickedness and pride. so see how the outcome was for the mischief-makers.
އަދި އެ آية ތައް އެއީ، ތެދުކަން އެއުރެންގެ نفس ތަކަށް يقين ވެތިބެ، އަނިޔާވެރިކަމާއި، ބޮޑާވެގަތުމުގެ ގޮތުން، އެ آية ތަކަށް އެއުރެން إنكار ކުރޫއެވެ. ފަހެ، فساد ކުރާމީހުންގެ ނިމުންވަނީ ކިހިނަކުންކަން، ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

he replied, "you will certainly be afflicted by wickedness and the wrath of god. do you dispute with me about the names of that which you and your fathers have invented?
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ން عذاب އަކާއި، ކޯފާއެއް އައިސް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް ހުށަހެޅިއްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކާބަފައިން، ނަންދީފައިވާ ބުދުތަކާމެދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނާ جدل ކުރަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެތަކެއްޗަށް (އަޅުކަން ކުރުމަށް) އެއްވެސް حجّة އެއް اللَّه ބާވައެއް ނުލައްވަތެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން انتظار ކުރާށެވެ! ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުވެސް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއެކު انتظار ކުރާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވާހުށީމެވެ.

verily allah commandeth justice and well-doing and giving to kindred; and he prohibiteth lewdness and wickedness and oppression; he exhorteth you that haply ye may beadmonished.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، عدل ވެރިވުމަށާއި، إحسان ތެރިވުމަށާއި، ގާތްތިމާގެ މީހުންނަށް ހެޔޮފޯރުވުމަށް اللَّه އަމުރުކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ހުތުރުކަން ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ފާފަތަކާއި، منكرات ތަކާއި، އަނިޔާވެރިވެ އުޅުން، އެކަލާނގެ ނަހީކުރައްވަތެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް، وعظ އިއްވަވަނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

god will open the hearts of whomever he wants to guide to islam, but he will tighten the chest of one whom he has led astray, as though he was climbing high up into the sky. thus, god places wickedness on those who do not accept the faith.
اللَّه ގެ ތެދުމަގު ދެއްކެވުމަށް އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ މީހަކަށް، إسلام دين އަށް އެމީހެއްގެ ހިތް ތަނަވަސްކޮށްދެއްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ މަގުފުރެއްދެވުމަށް އިރާދަކުރައްވާ މީހާ، އުޑާދިމާއަށް (މައްޗަށް) އަރައިގެންދާ މީހެކޭ އެއްފަދައިން އެކަލާނގެ އެމީހެއްގެ ހިތުގައި ދަތިކަމާއި، ނުތަނަވަސްކަން ލައްވަތެވެ. ހަމައެފަދައިން، إيمان ނުވާ މީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް، اللّه ގެ عذاب އާއި ކޯފާ ލައްވަތެވެ.

"do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" but his people gave no answer but this: they said: "bring us the wrath of allah if thou tellest the truth."
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ފިރިހެނުން ގާތަށް (شهوانى އެދުން ފުއްދުމަށް) ދަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މަގުފޭރި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ނާދީތަކުގައި އެ ނުބައިކަންތައް ކުރަމުން ގެންދަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ (އެބަހީ: لوط ގެފާނުގެ) قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ޖަވާބުކަމުގައި އެއުރެންގެ މި ބުނުން ނޫނީ ނުވެތެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނު ތެދުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންވަނީނަމަ، ތިމަންމެންނަށް (ތިޔަ ވިދާޅުވާ) اللَّه ގެ عذاب ނިކަންގެނެސްދެއްވައި ބައްލަވާށެވެ!
