mediumterm goals are the development of elementary but scaleable quantum processors, quantum networks that interconnect a number of processing elements (e.g. through teleportation), new quantum algorithms that tackle problems of practical significance, simulators of quantum systems, as well as the development of novel few-qubit applications of quantum systems.
