and we shaded them with thick clouds, and we sent down upon them the manna and the quails, saying: eat of the clean things wherewith we have provided you.
na tukawafunika kivuli kwa mawingu, na tukawateremshia manna na salwa. tukawaambia: kuleni vizuri hivi tulivyo kuruzukuni.

but if you are sick or traveling, or, if when you have just relieved yourselves or had intercourse with women and you cannot find water, touch the clean surface of the earth and rub your hands and faces with it.
na mkiwa wagonjwa au mmo safarini, au mmoja wenu ametoka chooni au mmewagusa wanawake, na hamkupata maji, basi tayamamuni vumbi lilio safi, na mpake nyuso zenu na mikono yenu.

saying: eat of the clean things wherewith we have provided you, and wax not exorbitant in respect thereof, lest my wrath alight on you; and upon whomsoever my wrath alighteth, he surely perisheth.

(remember that) we caused the cloud to overshadow you and provided you with manna and salva for your food, saying, "eat of the clean and pure things we have bestowed upon you" (in spite of this, your forefathers violated our commands:) however, they did not harm us but harmed only themselves.
