இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் (தன்) வசனங்களை உங்களுக்கு (நன்கு விவரித்துக் கூறுகிறான்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் (யாவும்) அறிந்தவன்; விவேகம் மிக்கோன்.

thus god makes his commandments clear to you, so that you may understand.
நீங்கள் தெளிவாக உணர்ந்து (அதன்படி நடந்து வருமாறு) அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குத் தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விளக்குகின்றான்.

in this wise allah expoundeth unto you his commandments, haply ye may reflect.
நீங்கள் தெளிவாக உணர்ந்து (அதன்படி நடந்து வருமாறு) அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குத் தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விளக்குகின்றான்.

god abrogates or confirms what he pleases; with him is the source of all commandments.
(எனினும்,) தான் நாடியதை (அதிலிருந்து) அல்லாஹ் அழித்து விடுவான். (தான் நாடியதை அதில்) நிலைத்திருக்கவும் செய்வான் - அவனிடத்திலேயே உம்முல் கிதாப் (மூலப் பதிவேடும்) இருக்கறது.

thus allah makes clear his commandments for you: it is expected that you will use your common sense.
நீங்கள் தெளிவாக உணர்ந்து (அதன்படி நடந்து வருமாறு) அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குத் தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விளக்குகின்றான்.

மேலும், நாம் மூஸாவுக்குக் கட்டளைகளைக் கடமையாக்கிய சமயம் நீர் (தூர் மலைக்கு) மேற்குத் திசையில் இருக்கவில்லை (அந்நிகழ்வைப்) பார்ப்பவர்களில் ஒருவராகவும் நீர் இருக்கவில்லை.

this is a surah which we have sent down and we have made it mandatory, and we have sent down clear commandments in it so that you may learn lessons.
(இது திருக்குர்ஆனின்) ஓர் அத்தியாயமாகும்; இதனை நாமே அருளச் செய்து, அதிலுள்ளவற்றை விதியாக்கினோம்; நீங்கள் நல்லுபதேசம் பெறுவதற்காக இதில் நாம் தெளிவான வசனங்களை அருள் செய்தோம்.

nor should you let them turn you away from the commandments of god once they have been delivered to you; and call them to your lord, and do not be an idolater,
இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்கள் உமக்கு அருளப்பட்டதன் பின், எதுவும் உம்மை அவற்றை விட்டும் நிச்சமயாகத் திருப்பி விடாதிருக்கட்டும்; மேலும் நீர் உம்முடைய இறைவன் பால் (அவர்களை) அழைத்தே வருவீராக நிச்சயமாக நீர் இணைவைப்போரில் ஒருவராகி விடவேண்டாம்.

we had commanded adam (certain matters). he forgot our commandment and we did not find in him the determination to fulfil our commandments.
முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால் (அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார் (அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவரிடம் காணவில்லை.

but your lord does not destroy habitations without having sent an apostle to their metropolis to read out our commandments to them. we would never have destroyed cities if their inhabitants were not given to wickedness.
(நபியே!) நம் வசனங்களை அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கும் தூதர் ஒருவரை அவர்களுடைய தலைநகருக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்காத வரையில் எந்த ஊர்களையும் உம்முடைய இறைவன் அழிப்பவனாக இல்லை மேலும், எந்த ஊரையும் அதன் மக்கள் அக்கிரமக் காரர்களாக இல்லாத வரையில் நாம் அழிப்போராகவும் இல்லை.

nothing is equal to him. thus are the commandments which i have received and he is the first muslim (submitted to the will of god)."
"அவனுக்கு யாதோர் இணையுமில்லை - இதைக் கொண்டே நான் ஏவப்பட்டுள்ளேன் - (அவனுக்கு) வழிப்பட்டவர்களில் - முஸ்லீம்களில் - நான் முதன்மையானவன் (என்றும் கூறும்).

and when the children among you attain puberty, then let them ask leave even as those before them asked leave. in this wise allah expoundeth unto you his commandments; and allah is knowing, wise.
இன்னும் உங்களிலுள்ள குழந்தைகள் பிராயம் அடைந்துவிட்டால் அவர்களும், தங்களுக்கு (வயதில்) மூத்தவர்கள் அனுமதி கேட்பது போல் அனுமதி கேட்க வேண்டும்; இவ்வாறே அல்லாஹ் தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை உங்களுக்கு விவரிக்கின்றான்; அல்லாஹ் (யாவற்றையும்) அறிந்தவன்; ஞானம்மிக்கவன்.

you were not there on the western side (of mount sinai) when we gave the commandments to moses, nor were you witness (to the event).
மேலும், நாம் மூஸாவுக்குக் கட்டளைகளைக் கடமையாக்கிய சமயம் நீர் (தூர் மலைக்கு) மேற்குத் திசையில் இருக்கவில்லை (அந்நிகழ்வைப்) பார்ப்பவர்களில் ஒருவராகவும் நீர் இருக்கவில்லை.

"o ibrahim (abraham)! forsake this. indeed, the commandment of your lord has gone forth. verily, there will come a torment for them which cannot be turned back."
"இப்றாஹீமே! (அம்மக்கள் மீது கொண்ட இரக்கத்தால் இதைப் பற்றி வாதிடாது) இ(வ்விஷயத்)தை நீர் புறக்கணியும்; ஏனெனில் உம்முடைய இறைவனின் கட்டளை நிச்சயமாக வந்துவிட்டது - மேலும், அவர்களுக்குத் தவிர்க்கமுடியாத வேதனை நிச்சயமாக வரக்கூடியதேயாகும்.
