(அவர் எத்தகையோரென்றால்) தம்மை தூய்மைப் படுத்தியவராகத் தம் பொருளை (இறைவன் பாதையில்) கொடுக்கிறார்.

and that he it is who giveth death and giveth life;
இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக அவனே மரிக்கச் செய்கிறான், இன்னும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்.

as grace from us. thus we reward him who giveth thanks.
நம்மிடமிருந்துள்ள அருள் கொடையால் (இப்படிக் காப்பாற்றினோம்) இவ்வாறே நாம் நன்றி செலுத்துபவர்களுக்கு கூலி அளிக்கிறோம்.

as for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward allah)
எனவே எவர் (தானதருமம்) கொடுத்து, (தன் இறைவனிடம்) பயபக்தியுடன் நடந்து,

as a favour from us. thus we recompense him who giveth thanks.
நம்மிடமிருந்துள்ள அருள் கொடையால் (இப்படிக் காப்பாற்றினோம்) இவ்வாறே நாம் நன்றி செலுத்துபவர்களுக்கு கூலி அளிக்கிறோம்.

and who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again),
"மேலும் அவனே என்னை மரிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; பிறகு அவனே என்னை உயிர்ப்பிப்பான்."

he giveth life and causeth to die, and unto him ye shall be returned.
அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கின்றான்; இன்னும், (அவனே) மரிக்கச் செய்கின்றான் - பின்னர் அவனிடமே (மறுமையில்) திரும்பக் கொண்டு செல்லப்படவீர்கள்.

who giveth you out of the green tree fire, and lo! ye kindle therewith.
"பசுமையான மரத்திலிருந்து உங்களுக்காக நெருப்பை உண்டாக்குபவனும் அவனே அதிலிருந்தே நீங்கள் (தீ) மூட்டுகிறீர்கள்.

and as a summoner unto allah by his permission, and as a lamp that giveth light.
இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வின் பால் (மனிதர்களை) - அவன் அனுமதிப்படி - அழைப்பவராகவும்; பிரகாசிக்கும் விளக்காகவும் (உம்மை அனுப்பியுள்ளோம்.)

it is he who giveth life and who taketh it, and to him shall ye all be brought back.
அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கின்றான்; இன்னும், (அவனே) மரிக்கச் செய்கின்றான் - பின்னர் அவனிடமே (மறுமையில்) திரும்பக் கொண்டு செல்லப்படவீர்கள்.

verily herein is an admonition unto him who hath a heart, or giveth ear while he is heedful.
எவருக்கு (நல்ல) இதயம் இருக்கிறதோ, அல்லது எவர் ஓர்மையுடன் செவிதாழ்த்திக் கேட்கிறாரோ அ(த்தகைய)வருக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் நினைவுறுத்தலும் (படிப்பினையும்) இருக்கிறது.

lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence.
எவருக்கு (நல்ல) இதயம் இருக்கிறதோ, அல்லது எவர் ஓர்மையுடன் செவிதாழ்த்திக் கேட்கிறாரோ அ(த்தகைய)வருக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் நினைவுறுத்தலும் (படிப்பினையும்) இருக்கிறது.

and how many angels are in the heavens whose intercession availeth naught save after allah giveth leave to whom he chooseth and accepteth.
அன்றியும் வானங்களில் எத்தனை மலக்குகள் இருக்கின்றனர்? எனினும், அல்லாஹ் விரும்பி, எவரைப்பற்றித் திருப்தியடைந்து, அவன் அனுமதி கொடுக்கின்றானோ அவரைத் தவிர வேறெவரின் பரிந்துரையும் எந்தப் பயனுமளிக்காது.

and he it is who giveth life and causeth death, and his is the difference of night and day. have ye then no sense?
அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கிறான்; இன்னும் அவனே மரணிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; மற்றும், இரவும் பகலும் மாறி மாறி வருவதும் அவனுக்குரியதே! (இவற்றை) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளமாட்டீர்களா?

lo! those who turn back after the guidance hath been manifested unto them, satan hath seduced them, and he giveth them the rein.
நிச்சயமாக, எவர்கள் நேர்வழி இன்னதென்று அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவானபின், தம் முதுகுகளைத் திருப்பிக் கொண்டு போகிறார்களோ, (அவ்வாறு போவதை) ஷைத்தான் அழகாக்கி, (அவர்களுடைய தவறான எண்ணங்களையும்) அவர்களுக்குப் பெருக்கி விட்டான்.

and accepteth those who do good works, and giveth increase unto them of his bounty. and as for disbelievers, theirs will be an awful doom.
அன்றியும் ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல் செய்பவர்(களின் பிரார்த்தனை)களையும் ஏற்று அவர்களுக்குத் தன் அருளை அதிகப்படுத்துகிறான்; இன்னும், நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு கடுமையான வேதனையுண்டு.

he giveth wisdom unto whom he will, and he unto whom wisdom is given, he truly hath received abundant good. but none remember except men of understanding.
தான் நாடியவருக்கு அவன் ஞானத்தைக் கொடுக்கின்றான்; (இத்தகு) ஞானம் எவருக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படுகிறதோ, அவர் கணக்கில்லா நன்மைகள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவராக நிச்சயமாக ஆகி விடுகிறார்; எனினும் நல்லறிவுடையோர் தவிர வேறு யாரும் இதைச் சிந்தித்துப் பார்ப்பதில்லை.

but when he giveth them a goodly child, they ascribe to others a share in the gift they have received: but allah is exalted high above the partners they ascribe to him.
அவர்களுக்கு (அவர்கள் விருப்பப்படி) நல்ல குழந்தையை அவன் கொடுத்தவுடன், அவர்களுக்கு அவன் கொடுத்ததில் அவ்விருவரும் அவனுக்கு இணைகளைக் கற்பிக்கின்றனர் - இவர்கள் இணை வைப்பதை விட்டும் அல்லாஹ் தூய்மையானவன்."
