நாங்கள் ஒரு ஆண் குழந்தையுடன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டோம்

பின்னர், அ(ந் நரகத்)தில் புகுவதற்கு அவர்களில் (தங்கள் பாவத்தால்) முதல் தகுதிவுடையவர்கள் யார் என்பதை நிச்சயமாக நாம் அறிவோம்.

repel evil with that which is better. we are best aware of that which they allege.
(நபியே!) நீர் அழகிய நன்மையைக் கொண்டு தீமையைத் தடுத்துக் கொள்வீராக! அவர்கள் வர்ணிப்பதை நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

(நபியே!) நீர் அழகிய நன்மையைக் கொண்டு தீமையைத் தடுத்துக் கொள்வீராக! அவர்கள் வர்ணிப்பதை நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

we are best aware of what they utter when their best in conduct say: ye have tarried but a day.
"ஒரு நாளேயன்றி (அதிகமாக) நீங்கள் தங்கவில்லை" என்று அவர்களில் நல்வழியில் சென்றவர்கள் கூறுவதையும் நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

we are best aware of what they wish to hear when they give ear to thee and when they take secret counsel, when the evil-doers say: ye follow but a man bewitched.
(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உமக்குச் செவி சாய்த்தால், என்ன நோக்கத்துடன் செவி சாய்க்கின்றார்கள் என்பதையும் அவர்கள் தமக்குள் இரகசியமாக ஆலோசனை செய்யும் போது, "சூனியம் செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு மனிதரையே அன்றி (வேறெவரையும்) நீங்கள் பின்பற்றிவில்லை" என்று (தங்களுக்குள்) அந்த அநியாயக்காரர்கள் சொல்வதையும் நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

we are best knower of that wherewith they listen what time they listen to thee and what time they counsel together in secret, when the wrong-doers say: ye but follow a man enchanted.
(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உமக்குச் செவி சாய்த்தால், என்ன நோக்கத்துடன் செவி சாய்க்கின்றார்கள் என்பதையும் அவர்கள் தமக்குள் இரகசியமாக ஆலோசனை செய்யும் போது, "சூனியம் செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு மனிதரையே அன்றி (வேறெவரையும்) நீங்கள் பின்பற்றிவில்லை" என்று (தங்களுக்குள்) அந்த அநியாயக்காரர்கள் சொல்வதையும் நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

we are best aware of what they say, and thou (o muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. but warn by the qur'an him who feareth my threat.
அவர்கள் கூறுவதை நாம் நன்கறிவோம் - நீர் அவர்கள் மீது நிர்ப்பந்தம் செய்பவரல்லர், ஆகவே (நம்) அச்சுறுத்தலை பயப்படுவோருக்கு, இந்த குர்ஆனை கொண்டு நல்லபதேசம் செய்வீராக.

he said: lo! lot is there. they said: we are best aware of who is there. we are to deliver him and his household, all save his wife, who is of those who stay behind.
"நிச்சயமாக அவ்வூரில் லூத்தும் இருக்கிறாரே" என்று (இப்றாஹீம்) கூறினார்; (அதற்கு) அவர்கள் அதில் இருப்பவர்கள் யார் என்பதை நாங்கள் நன்கறிவோம்; எனவே நாங்கள் அவரையும்; அவருடைய மனைவியைத் தவிர, அவர் குடும்பத்தாரையும் நிச்சயமாகக் காப்பாற்றுவோம்; அவள் (அழிந்து போவோரில் ஒருத்தியாக) தங்கி விடுவாள் என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

they said: swear one to another by allah that we verily will attack him and his household by night, and afterward we will surely say unto his friend: we witnessed not the destruction of his household. and lo! we are truthtellers.
அவர்கள்; "நாம் அவரையும் (ஸாலிஹையும்), அவருடைய குடும்பத்தாரையும் இரவோடிரவாக திட்டமாக அழித்து விடுவோம்; (இதனை யாரிடமும் சொல்வதில்லை) என்று நாம் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது சத்தியம் செய்து கொள்வோமாக!" பிறகு அவருடைய வாரிஸ்தாரிடம் (அவர்கள் பழிக்குப்பழி வாங்க வந்தால்) "உங்கள் குடும்பத்தார் அழிக்கப்பட்டதை நாங்கள் காணவேயில்லை நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உண்மையாளர்கள்" என்று திட்டமாகக் கூறிவிடலாம் (எனச் சதி செய்தார்கள்).
