அன்றியும் (பூமியிலுள்ள) எத்தனையோ பிராணிகள் தங்கள் உணவைச் சுமந்து கொண்டு திரிவதில்லை அவற்றுக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் அல்லாஹ் தான் உணவளிக்கின்றான் - இன்னும் அவன் (யாவற்றையும் செவிமடுப்பவனாகவும் (நன்கு) அறிபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

and do not kill your children for fear of poverty. we provide for them, and for you. killing them is a grave sin.
நீங்கள் வறுமைக்குப் பயந்து உங்களுடைய குழந்தைகளைக் கொலை செய்யாதீர்கள்; அவர்களுக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் நாமே உணவை (வாழ்க்கை வசதிகளையும்) அளிக்கின்றோம் - அவர்களைக் கொல்லுதல் நிச்சயமாகப் பெரும் பிழையாகும்.

and the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved.
ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்காக வானமும் பூமியும் அழவுமில்லை (தப்பித்துக் கொள்ள) அவகாசமும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களாகவும் அவர்களில்லை.

(vii) do not kill your children for fear of want. we will provide for them and for you. surely killing them is a great sin.
நீங்கள் வறுமைக்குப் பயந்து உங்களுடைய குழந்தைகளைக் கொலை செய்யாதீர்கள்; அவர்களுக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் நாமே உணவை (வாழ்க்கை வசதிகளையும்) அளிக்கின்றோம் - அவர்களைக் கொல்லுதல் நிச்சயமாகப் பெரும் பிழையாகும்.

those who have taken protectors other than him, are watched over by god. it is not for you to be their guardian.
அவனையன்றி(த் தங்களுக்கு வேறு) பாதுகாவலர்களை எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்களே அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் கவனித்தவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்; நீர் அவர்கள் மேல் பொறுப்பாளர் அல்லர்.

and the heavens and the earth wept not for them, nor were they given a respite.
ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்காக வானமும் பூமியும் அழவுமில்லை (தப்பித்துக் கொள்ள) அவகாசமும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களாகவும் அவர்களில்லை.

equal it is unto them: whether thou askest forgiveness for them or askest not forgiveness for them, allah shall forgive them not. verily allah guideth not a transgressing people.
அவர்களுக்காக நீர் பாவமன்னிப்புக் கோரினாலும் அல்லது பாவமன்னிப்புக் கோராவிட்டாலும் அவர்களுக்குச் சமமேயாகும், அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்குப் பாவமன்னிப்பளிக்க மாட்டான் - பாவம் செய்யும் சமூகத்தாரை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேர்வழியில் செலுத்த மாட்டான்.

if they had waited for you to come out it would have been better for them. but god is forgiving and kind.
நீர் அவர்களிடம் வெளிப்பட்டு வரும் வரையில், அவர்கள் பொறுத்திருந்தார்களானால், அது அவர்களுக்கு நலமாக இருக்கும்; (எனினும்) அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னப்பவன்; மிக்க கிருபையுடையவன்.

(o messenger!) it is not for you to decide whether he will accept their repentance or chastise them, for they surely are wrongdoers.
(நபியே!) உமக்கு இவ்விஷயத்தில் ஒரு சம்பந்தமும் இல்லை. அவன் அவர்களை மன்னித்து விடலாம்;. அல்லது அவர்களை வேதனைப்படுத்தலாம் - நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் கொடியோராக இருப்பதின் காரணமாக.

[allah] said, "descend from paradise, for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. so get out; indeed, you are of the debased.
"இதிலிருந்து நீ இறங்கிவிடு, நீ பெருமை கொள்வதற்கு இங்கு இடமில்லை, ஆதலால் (இங்கிருந்து) நீ வெளியேறு - நிச்சயமாக நீ சிறுமை அடைந்தோரில் ஒருவனாகி விட்டாய்" என்று அல்லாஹ் கூறினான்.

and be patient and your patience is not but by (the assistance of) allah, and grieve not for them, and do not distress yourself at what they plan.
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நீர் பொறுமையுடன் இருப்பீராக எனினும் அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவியில்லாமல் நீர் பொறுமையுடனே இருக்க முடியாது அவர்களுக்காக நீர் (எது பற்றியும்) கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம் - அவர்கள் செய்யும் சூழ்ச்சிகளை பற்றி நீர் (மன) நெருக்கடியில் ஆகிவிடவேண்டாம்.

and your lord creates what he wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. exalted is allah and high above what they associate with him.
மேலும், உம்முடைய இறைவன், தான் நாடியதைப் படைக்கிறான்; (தூதராகத் தான் நாடியோரைத்) தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான். (எனவே இத்தகு) தேர்ந்தெடுத்தல் இவர்களு(க்கு உரிமையு)டையதல்ல அல்லாஹ் மிகத் தூய்மையானவன்; இவர்கள் இணை வைப்பதை விட்டும் அவன் மிகவும் உயர்ந்தவன்.

ask thou forgiveness for them or ask thou not forgiveness for them: if thou askest forgiveness for them seventy times, allah will forgive them not. this, because they disbelieved in allah and his apostle, and allah guideth not an ungodly people.
ஏனென்றால் இவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவன் தூதரையும் நிராகரித்தார்கள் - இத்தகைய பாவிகளின் கூட்டத்தை அல்லாஹ் நேர்வழியில் செலுத்த மாட்டான்.
