(முஃமின்களே! போரில்) நீங்கள் தளர்ச்சியடைந்து, தைரியமிழந்து சமாதானத்தைக் கோராதீர்கள்; (ஏனென்றால்) நீங்கள் தாம் மேலோங்குபவர்கள்; அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடனேயே இருக்கின்றான் - மேலும், அவன் உங்கள் (நற்) செய்கைகளை உங்களுக்கு (ஒரு போதும்) குறைத்து விடமாட்டான்.

so do not waver and call for peace while you have the upper hand. god is with you, and he will not waste your efforts.

know that the messenger of god is with you. had he yielded to you on many of the matters, you would have been in great trouble. but god has endeared the faith to you and has made it attractive to your hearts. he has made disbelief, evil deeds and disobedience hateful to you. such people will have the right guidance
அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக உங்களிடையே அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதர் இருக்கிறார்; அநேக காரியங்களில் அவர் உங்களுக்கு வழிப்பட்டால், திடமாக நீங்கள் தாம் கஷ்டத்திற்குள்ளாவீர்கள், எனினும் அல்லாஹ் ஈமானை (நம்பிக்கையை) உங்களுக்குப் பிரியமுடையதாக்கி உங்கள் இதயங்களிலும் அதனை அழகாக்கியும் வைத்தான் - அன்றியும் குஃப்ரையும் (நிராகரிப்பையும்) பாவத்தையும், மாறுபாடு செய்வதையும் உங்களுக்கு வெறுப்பாகவும் ஆக்கினான்; இத்தகையவர்கள் தாம் நேர்வழியில் நடப்பவர்கள்.

if you (the pagans) are looking for conquest, you certainly had a great chance (at the battle of badr). but if you were to give up such a desire, it would be better for you. if you again wage war against us, we will be ready for such a confrontation. your man-power will be of no help to you no matter how much you have; god is with the believers.
(நிராகரிப்பவர்களே!) நீங்கள் வெற்றி(யின் மூலம் தீர்ப்பைத்) தேடிக் கொண்டிருந்தால், நிச்சயமாக அவ்வெற்றி (முஃமின்களுக்கு) வந்து விட்டது இனியேனும் நீங்கள் (தவறை விட்டு) விலகிக் கொண்டால் அது உங்களுக்கு நலமாக இருக்கும்; நீங்கள் மீண்டும் (போருக்கு) வந்தால் நாங்களும் வருவோம்; உங்களுடைய படை எவ்வளவு அதிகமாக இருந்தாலும், அது உங்களுக்கு எத்தகைய பலனையும் அளிக்காது. மெய்யாகவே அல்லாஹ் முஃமின்களோடு தான் இருக்கின்றான் (என்று முஃமின்களே கூறி விடுங்கள்).
