this morning we published a press release, saying that we are taking over the printing systems group (psg). the company contains the dealer organizations tetterode in the netherlands, plantin in belgium and luxembourg, macchingraf in italy, hartmann in spain and bti hellas in greece. this acquisition is a further and important step implementing our business strategy. while we have spent most of the current fiscal year in cleaning up loss-making activities within our portfolio, or rather implemented new business models, we started to build up attractive fields of business at the same time. this change is most important, to start leaving the sole cost- and saving-driven activities behind and switch towards growth into our own future. in the digital area we introduced gallus first digital label machine, as well as customized printing of soccer balls, as first application to print on curved surfaces. our financial involvement in the software provider neo7even, as well as the acquisition of the print chemicals supplier blueprint, are further examples of our growth strategy. with today’s acquisition we are taking another important step into our future. the psg group is running a profitable business with a solid base of equipment sales, and even more important, they are providing access to pockets of growth. it is our declared target to foster our less cyclical service and consumables businesses and exactly here the psg group is a good example. they have reached a topline split, where those growing businesses outweigh the equipment sales. realizing exactly this advantage is a declared target for heidelberg in order to become much more independent from any economy or currency development. what is going to happen next? once the clearance is granted by the relevant authorities we will execute the acquisition and detailed information will follow.
