observest thou not that the ship saileth in the sea by the favour of allah that he may shew you of his signs? verily therein are signs for every persevering, grateful heart.
தன்னுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதற்காக வேண்டி, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருள் கொடையைக் கொண்டு நிச்சமயாகக் கப்பல் கடலில் (மிதந்து) செல்வதை நீர் காணவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக இதில் பொறுமை மிக்க - நன்றியறிதலுடைய ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

if he will he calmeth the wind so that they keep still upon its surface - lo! herein verily are signs for every steadfast grateful (heart). -
அவன் விரும்பினால் காற்றை (வீசாமல்) அமர்த்தி விடுகிறான். அதனால் அவை (கடலின்) மேற்பரப்பில் அசைவற்றுக் கிடக்கும், நிச்சயமாக இதில், பொறுமையாளர், நன்றி செலுத்துவோர் யாவருக்கும் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

hast thou not seen how the ships glide on the sea by allah's grace, that he may show you of his wonders? lo! therein indeed are portents for every steadfast, grateful (heart).
தன்னுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதற்காக வேண்டி, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருள் கொடையைக் கொண்டு நிச்சமயாகக் கப்பல் கடலில் (மிதந்து) செல்வதை நீர் காணவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக இதில் பொறுமை மிக்க - நன்றியறிதலுடைய ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

but they said: our lord! make the stage between our journeys longer. and they wronged themselves, therefore we made them bywords (in the land) and scattered them abroad, a total scattering. lo! herein verily are portents for each steadfast, grateful (heart).
ஆனால், அவர்கள் "எங்கள் இறைவா! எங்களுடைய பிரயாண(ம் செய்யும் இட)ங்களுக்கு இடையேயுள்ள தூரத்தை அதிகமாக்குவாயாக!" என்று வேண்டித் தமக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டார்கள்; ஆகவே அவர்களை (பழங்) கதைகளாக ஆக்கி விட்டோம் இன்னும் அவர்களை(ப் பல இடங்களில்) சிதறிப்போகும் படியாய் சிதற வைத்தோம்; நிச்சயமாக இதில் பொறுமையாளர் நன்றி செலுத்துவோர் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.
