"shall i take besides him aliha (gods), if the most beneficent (allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me?
"அவனையன்றி வேறு நாயனை நான் எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனா? அர்ரஹ்மான் எனக்கு ஏதேனும் கெடுதியைக் கொண்டு நாடினால், இவற்றின் சிபாரிசு ஒரு பயனும் எனக்கு அளிக்காது. இவை என்னை விடுவிக்கவும் முடியா.

"shall i take (other) gods besides him? if (allah) most gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me.
"அவனையன்றி வேறு நாயனை நான் எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனா? அர்ரஹ்மான் எனக்கு ஏதேனும் கெடுதியைக் கொண்டு நாடினால், இவற்றின் சிபாரிசு ஒரு பயனும் எனக்கு அளிக்காது. இவை என்னை விடுவிக்கவும் முடியா.

say thou: shall i take for a patron any other than allah, the maker of the heavens and the earth! and he feedeth, and is not fed. say thou: i am commanded that i be the first who submitteth himself, and that: be thou not of the associaters.
"வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்த அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி வேறு எவரையும் என் பாதுகாவலனாக எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனா? அவனே (யாவருக்கும்) உணவளிக்கிறான்; அவனுக்கு எவராலும் உணவளிக்கப் படுவதில்லை" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக இன்னும் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு வழிபடுபவர்களில் முதன்மையானவனாக, இருக்கும்படி நான் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டுள்ளேன்) என்று கூறுவீராக. இன்னும் நீர் ஒருக்காலும் இணைவைப்போரில் ஒருவராகிவிட வேண்டாம்.

say (o muhammad saw): "shall i take as a wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than allah, the creator of the heavens and the earth? and it is he who feeds but is not fed." say: "verily, i am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to allah (as muslims)." and be not you (o muhammad saw) of the mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the oneness of allah].
"வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்த அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி வேறு எவரையும் என் பாதுகாவலனாக எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனா? அவனே (யாவருக்கும்) உணவளிக்கிறான்; அவனுக்கு எவராலும் உணவளிக்கப் படுவதில்லை" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக இன்னும் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு வழிபடுபவர்களில் முதன்மையானவனாக, இருக்கும்படி நான் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டுள்ளேன்) என்று கூறுவீராக. இன்னும் நீர் ஒருக்காலும் இணைவைப்போரில் ஒருவராகிவிட வேண்டாம்.
