நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எதிராக உமக்கு யாதோர் உதவியும் செய்து விட முடியாது. இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக அநியாயக்காரர்களில் சிலர் சிலருக்குப் பாதுகாவலர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ்வே பாதுகாவலன்.

o believers, take not jews and christians as friends; they are friends of each other. whoso of you makes them his friends is one of them. god guides not the people of the evildoers.
முஃமின்களே! யூதர்களையும், கிறிஸ்தவர்களையும் உங்களுடைய பாதுகாவலர்களாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள். (உங்களுக்கு விரோதம் செய்வதில்) அவர்கள் தம்மில் சிலர் சிலருக்குப் பாதுகாவலர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். உங்களில் எவரேனும் அவர்களைப் பாதுகாவலர்களாக ஆக்கினால் நிச்சயமாக அவரும் அவர்களைச் சேர்ந்தவர்தான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அநியாயக்கார மக்களுக்கு நேர்வழி காட்டமாட்டான்.

but the messenger and those who believe with him strive with their wealth and their lives. such are they for whom are the good things. such are they who are the successful.
எனினும், (அல்லாஹ்வின்) தூரும், அவருடன் இருக்கும் முஃமின்களும், தங்கள் செல்வங்களையும், தங்கள் உயிர்களையும் அர்ப்பணம் செய்து போர் புரிகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கே எல்லா நன்மைகளும் உண்டு - இன்னும் அவர்கள் தாம் வெற்றியாளர்கள்.

and who does more wrong than one to whom are recited the signs of his lord, and who then turns away therefrom? verily from those who transgress we shall exact (due) retribution.
எவன் தன்னுடைய இறைவனின் வசனங்களைக் கொண்டு நினைவு படுத்தப்பட்ட பின்னரும் அவற்றைப் புறக்கணித்து விடுகிறானோ, அவனைவிட அநியாயக்காரன் எவன் (இருக்கிறான்)? நிச்சயமாக நாம் (இத்தகைய) குற்றவாளிகளை தண்டிப்போம்.

but the apostle and those who believed in his company strave hard with their riches and their lives. these are they for whom are goods, and these: they are the blissful.
எனினும், (அல்லாஹ்வின்) தூரும், அவருடன் இருக்கும் முஃமின்களும், தங்கள் செல்வங்களையும், தங்கள் உயிர்களையும் அர்ப்பணம் செய்து போர் புரிகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கே எல்லா நன்மைகளும் உண்டு - இன்னும் அவர்கள் தாம் வெற்றியாளர்கள்.

allah coineth a similitude: a man in relation to whom are several part-owners, quarrelling, and a man belonging wholly to one man. are the two equal in similitude? praise be to allah! but most of them know not.
அல்லாஹ் ஓர் உதாரணம் கூறுகிறான்; ஒருவருடன் ஒருவர் கருத்து வேற்றுமை கொண்டிருக்கும் பல எஜமானர்களுக்கு (ஊழியம் செய்யும்) ஒரு மனிதனும்; ஒரே மனிதனுக்கு (ஊழியம் செய்யும் பிறிதொரு) மனிதனும் இருக்கின்றனர். இவர்கள் இருவரும் சமமாவார்களா? அல்ஹம்து லில்லாஹ் - எல்லாப் புகழும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே! எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் அறிய மாட்டார்கள்.
