เขากล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ทำไมพระองค์จึงทรงให้ข้าพระองค์ฟื้นคืนชีพขึ้นมาในสภาพของคนตาบอดเล่า ทั้งๆที่ข้าพระองค์เคยเป็นคนตาดี มองเห็น”

but he beguiled a great many of you. why did you not then understand?
และโดยแน่นอน มันได้ทำให้หมู่ชนจำนวนมากของพวกเจ้าหลงทาง ทำไมพวกเจ้าจึงไม่ใช้สติปัญญาใคร่ครวญเล่า?

yet he led astray a great multitude of you. why did you not then understand?
และโดยแน่นอน มันได้ทำให้หมู่ชนจำนวนมากของพวกเจ้าหลงทาง ทำไมพวกเจ้าจึงไม่ใช้สติปัญญาใคร่ครวญเล่า?

when you entered your garden, why did you not say, “as god wills; there is no power except through god”? although you see me inferior to you in wealth and children.
“และทำไมเล่าเมื่อท่านเข้าไปในสวนของท่าน ท่านควรกล่าวว่า สิ่งที่อัลลอฮ์ทรงประสงค์(ย่อมเกิดขึ้น) ไม่มีพลังใด ๆ(ที่จะช่วยเราได้) นอกจากที่อัลลอฮ์ หากท่านเห็นว่าฉันด้อยกว่าท่านทางด้านทรัพย์สมบัติและลูกหลาน

when you entered your vineyard, why did you not say: 'whatever allah wills shall come to pass, for there is no power save with allah!' if you find me less than yourself in wealth and children
“และทำไมเล่าเมื่อท่านเข้าไปในสวนของท่าน ท่านควรกล่าวว่า สิ่งที่อัลลอฮ์ทรงประสงค์(ย่อมเกิดขึ้น) ไม่มีพลังใด ๆ(ที่จะช่วยเราได้) นอกจากที่อัลลอฮ์ หากท่านเห็นว่าฉันด้อยกว่าท่านทางด้านทรัพย์สมบัติและลูกหลาน

allah pardon you! why did you give them leave until those who spoke the truth had become manifest to you and you had known the liars?
“อัลลอฮ์นั้นได้ทรงอภัยโทษให้แก่เจ้า แล้วเพราะเหตุใดเล่าเจ้าจึงอนุมัติให้แก่พวกเขา จนกว่าจะได้ประจักษ์แก่เจ้าก่อน ซึ่งบรรดาผู้ที่พูดจริง และจนกว่าเจ้าจะได้รู้บรรดาผู้ที่กล่าวเท็จ”

may god forgive you. why did you allow them (to stay behind) without ascertaining who spoke the truth and who were liars?
“อัลลอฮ์นั้นได้ทรงอภัยโทษให้แก่เจ้า แล้วเพราะเหตุใดเล่าเจ้าจึงอนุมัติให้แก่พวกเขา จนกว่าจะได้ประจักษ์แก่เจ้าก่อน ซึ่งบรรดาผู้ที่พูดจริง และจนกว่าเจ้าจะได้รู้บรรดาผู้ที่กล่าวเท็จ”

may god pardon you! why did you permit them to do so before it had become clear to you which ones were truthful, so that you might recognize the liars?
“อัลลอฮ์นั้นได้ทรงอภัยโทษให้แก่เจ้า แล้วเพราะเหตุใดเล่าเจ้าจึงอนุมัติให้แก่พวกเขา จนกว่าจะได้ประจักษ์แก่เจ้าก่อน ซึ่งบรรดาผู้ที่พูดจริง และจนกว่าเจ้าจะได้รู้บรรดาผู้ที่กล่าวเท็จ”

and why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, 'what allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in allah '? although you see me less than you in wealth and children,
“และทำไมเล่าเมื่อท่านเข้าไปในสวนของท่าน ท่านควรกล่าวว่า สิ่งที่อัลลอฮ์ทรงประสงค์(ย่อมเกิดขึ้น) ไม่มีพลังใด ๆ(ที่จะช่วยเราได้) นอกจากที่อัลลอฮ์ หากท่านเห็นว่าฉันด้อยกว่าท่านทางด้านทรัพย์สมบัติและลูกหลาน

allah has forgiven you! why did you give them leave (to stay behind) until it was clear to you which of them was truthful and knew those who lied?
“อัลลอฮ์นั้นได้ทรงอภัยโทษให้แก่เจ้า แล้วเพราะเหตุใดเล่าเจ้าจึงอนุมัติให้แก่พวกเขา จนกว่าจะได้ประจักษ์แก่เจ้าก่อน ซึ่งบรรดาผู้ที่พูดจริง และจนกว่าเจ้าจะได้รู้บรรดาผู้ที่กล่าวเท็จ”

and spend from what we have provided you before death approaches any one of you and he then says, “my lord! why did you not give me respite for a little while, so i would have given charity and become of the virtuous?”
และจงบริจาคจากสิ่งที่เราได้ให้ปัจจัยยังชีพแก่พวกเจ้าก่อนที่ความตายจะเกิดขึ้นแก่ผู้ใดในหมู่พวกเจ้า แล้วเขาก็จะกล่าวว่า ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ มาตรว่าพระองค์ท่านทรงผ่อนผันให้แก่ข้าพระองค์อีกชั่วเวลาเพียงเล็กน้อยเพื่อที่ข้าพระองค์จะได้บริจาคและข้าพระองค์ก็จะอยู่ในหมู่คนดีทั้งหลาย (ผู้ทรงคุณธรรม)

(o prophet), may allah forgive you! why did you give them leave to stay behind before it became clear to you as to who were truthful and who were liars?
“อัลลอฮ์นั้นได้ทรงอภัยโทษให้แก่เจ้า แล้วเพราะเหตุใดเล่าเจ้าจึงอนุมัติให้แก่พวกเขา จนกว่าจะได้ประจักษ์แก่เจ้าก่อน ซึ่งบรรดาผู้ที่พูดจริง และจนกว่าเจ้าจะได้รู้บรรดาผู้ที่กล่าวเท็จ”

and spend of what allah has granted you by way of sustenance before death should come to any of you and he should say: “lord, why did you not defer my return for a while so that i might give alms and be among the righteous?”
และจงบริจาคจากสิ่งที่เราได้ให้ปัจจัยยังชีพแก่พวกเจ้าก่อนที่ความตายจะเกิดขึ้นแก่ผู้ใดในหมู่พวกเจ้า แล้วเขาก็จะกล่าวว่า ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ มาตรว่าพระองค์ท่านทรงผ่อนผันให้แก่ข้าพระองค์อีกชั่วเวลาเพียงเล็กน้อยเพื่อที่ข้าพระองค์จะได้บริจาคและข้าพระองค์ก็จะอยู่ในหมู่คนดีทั้งหลาย (ผู้ทรงคุณธรรม)

and in case disaster comes upon them for what they have done themselves, they should say: "o lord, why did you not send an apostle to us that we should have followed your commands, and been with those who are believers;"
และหากมิใช่เคราะห์กรรมหนึ่งประสบแก่พวกเขา เนื่องด้วยน้ำมือของพวกเขาที่ได้กระทำไว้ก่อน แล้วพวกเขาก็จะพูดขึ้นว่า“ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของเรา เหตุใดพระองค์จึงไม่ส่งร่อซูลคนหนึ่งมายังพวกเรา เพื่อจะได้ปฏิบัติตามโองการทั้งกลายของพระองค์ท่านและเราจะได้อยู่ในหมู่ผู้ศรัทธา”

'why did you bear witness against us' they will ask their skins, and they will reply: 'allah has given us speech, as he has given speech to everything. it was he who created you the first time, and to him you shall return.
