پاکستان تاریکی مے ڈوبا ہوا تھا مگر لوگوں کو مذاق سوجھنے لگا اور اس مشکل وقت کو گزرنے کے لئے سب نے لطیفوں کا سہارا لیا.
when most of pakistan aside from the high-security red zone and military bases remained shrouded in darkness, people once again turned to humor to make life easier during the blackout.

لوط نے کہا کاش مجھے تمہارے مقابلہ کی طاقت ہوتی یا یہ کہ میں کسی مضبوط پایہ کا سہارا لے سکتا۔
"i wish i had the power to resist you," said (lot), "or powerful support."

اور اگر روئے زمین کے تمام درخت قلم بن جائیں اور سمندر کا سہارا دینے کے لئے سات سمندر اور آ جائیں تو بھی کلمات الہٰی تمام ہونے والے نہیں ہیں بیشک اللہ صاحبِ عزت ّبھی ہے اور صاحب حکمت بھی ہے
and if all the trees in the earth were pens, and the sea, with seven more seas to help it, (were ink), the words of allah could not be exhausted. lo! allah is mighty, wise.

اور تم کیوں کر کفر کروگے تم پر اللہ کی آیتیں پڑھی جاتی ہیں اور تم میں اس کا رسول تشریف لایا اور جس نے اللہ کا سہارا لیا تو ضرور وہ سیدھی راہ دکھایا گیا،
and how can you disbelieve, whereas allah’s verses are recited to you and his noble messenger is present amongst you?! and whoever takes the support of allah is indeed guided to the right path.

میں نے اپنے خیالات کے اظہار کیلئے مابعد طبیعات کا سہارا لیا تاکہ میں لاشعور میں جگہ بنا سکوں۔ میں نے روایتی اور سیاسی ڈیزائین سے مدد نہیں لی۔
i tried to resort to metaphysics to express my ideas, in order to reach the unconscious mind rather than the traditional and ordinary political design.

ان سے پہلے بھی نوح علیھ السّلام کی قوم اور اس کے بعد والے گروہوں نے رسولوں کی تکذیب کی ہے اور ہر امت نے اپنے رسول کے بارے میں یہ ارادہ کیا ہے کہ اسے گرفتار کرلیں اور باطل کا سہارا لے کر جھگڑا کیا ہے کہ حق کو اُ کھاڑ کر پھینک دیں تو ہم نے بھی انہیں اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا تو تم نے دیکھا کہ ہمارا عذاب کیسا تھا
but (there were people) before them, who denied (the signs),- the people of noah, and the confederates (of evil) after them; and every people plotted against their prophet, to seize him, and disputed by means of vanities, therewith to condemn the truth; but it was i that seized them! and how (terrible) was my requital!

موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) نے اپنی قوم سے فرمایا اللہ تعالیٰ کا سہارا حاصل کرو اور صبر کرو، یہ زمین اللہ تعالیٰ کی ہے، اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کو چاہے وه مالک بنا دے اور اخیر کامیابی ان ہی کی ہوتی ہے جو اللہ سے ڈرتے ہیں
and moses said unto his people: seek help in allah and endure. lo! the earth is allah's. he giveth it for an inheritance to whom he will. and lo! the sequel is for those who keep their duty (unto him).

(آخرکار) رسولؐ نے کہا کہ "اے میرے رب، حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دے، اور لوگو، تم جو باتیں بناتے ہو اُن کے مقابلے میں ہمارا ربِّ رحمان ہی ہمارے لیے مدد کا سہارا ہے"
"judge in truth (between us), o lord," he said. "our lord is merciful, whose help we seek against what you attribute."
