ነገር ግን የኃይሉ ታላቅነት ከእግዚአብሔር እንጂ ከእኛ እንዳይሆን ይህ መዝገብ በሸክላ ዕቃ ውስጥ አለን፤
but we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of god, and not of us.

እነዚህ ሁሉ ከትርፋቸው ወደ እግዚአብሔር መዝገብ ጥለዋልና፤ ይህች ግን ከጕድለትዋ የነበራትን ትዳርዋን ሁሉ ጣለች አለ።
for all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of god: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

ያላችሁን ሽጡ ምጽዋትም ስጡ፤ ሌባ በማይቀርብበት ብልም በማያጠፋበት በሰማያት የማያልቅ መዝገብ የሚሆኑትን የማያረጁትንም ኮረጆዎች ለራሳችሁ አድርጉ፤
sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

ደግሞ መንግሥተ ሰማያት በእርሻ ውስጥ የተሰወረውን መዝገብ ትመስላለች፤ ሰውም አግኝቶ ሰወረው፥ ከደስታውም የተነሣ ሄዶ ያለውን ሁሉ ሸጠና ያን እርሻ ገዛ።
again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

እውነተኛውን ሕይወት ይይዙ ዘንድ፥ ለሚመጣው ዘመን ለራሳቸው መልካም መሠረት የሚሆንላቸውን መዝገብ እየሰበሰቡ፥ መልካምን እንዲያደርጉ በበጎም ሥራ ባለ ጠጎች እንዲሆኑ፥ ሊረዱና ሊያካፍሉም የተዘጋጁ እንዲሆኑ ምከራቸው።
that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
