( muhammad ) , you are not insane , thanks to the bounty of your lord .
አንተ በጌታህ ጸጋ የተጎናጸፍክ ስትኾን ዕብድ አይደለህም ፡ ፡

so submit patiently to the judgement of your lord and do not obey any sinner or ingrate from among them ,
ለጌታህ ፍርድም ታገሥ ፡ ፡ ከእነርሱም ኀጢአተኛን ወይም ከሓዲን አትታዘዝ ፡ ፡

so submit patiently to the judgement of your lord , and do not be like the man of the fish who called out as he choked with grief .
ለጌታህም ፍርድ ታገሥ ፤ ( በመበሳጨትና ባለ መታገሥ ) እንደ ዓሣው ባለቤትም ( እንደ ዮናስ ) አትኹን ፡ ፡ እርሱ በጭንቀት የተመላ ኾኖ ( ጌታውን ) በተጣራ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

they said : " burn him , and come to the support of your gods , if you are going to do anything . "
« ሠሪዎች እንደ ኾናችሁ አቃጥሉት ፡ ፡ አማልክቶቻችሁንም እርዱ » አሉ ፡ ፡ ( በእሳት ላይ ጣሉትም ) ፡ ፡

let them not dispute with you on this matter . call them to the path of your lord -- for surely , you are rightly guided --
ለየሕዝቡ ሁሉ እነሱ የሚሠሩበት የኾነን ሥርዓተ ሃይማኖት አድርገናል ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ በነገሩ አይከራከሩህ ፡ ፡ ወደ ጌታህ መንገድም ጥራ ፡ ፡ አንተ በእርግጥ በቅኑ መንገድ ላይ ነህና ፡ ፡

it is not bad to give alms in public . however if you give them privately to the poor , it would be better for you and an expiation for some of your sins .
ምጽዋቶችን ብትገልጹ እርሷ ምንኛ መልካም ናት ፡ ፡ ብትደብቋትና ለድኾች ብትሰጧትም እርሱ ለናንተ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡ ከኃጢአቶቻችሁም ከእናንተ ያብሳል ፡ ፡ አላህም በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

and hasten to the for-giveness of your lord and to a paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth , prepared for the god-fearing .
ከጌታችሁ ወደ ኾነችም ምሕረትና ስፋትዋ እንደ ሰማያትና ምድር ወደ ኾነች ገነት አላህን ለሚፈሩ የተዘጋጀች ስትኾን ተቻኮሉ ፡ ፡

if you reveal your charity it is good , but to give charity to the poor in private is better and will acquit you from some of your evil deeds . allah is knowledgeable of what you do .
ምጽዋቶችን ብትገልጹ እርሷ ምንኛ መልካም ናት ፡ ፡ ብትደብቋትና ለድኾች ብትሰጧትም እርሱ ለናንተ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡ ከኃጢአቶቻችሁም ከእናንተ ያብሳል ፡ ፡ አላህም በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

and why should we not put our trust in allah when it is indeed he who has guided us to the ways of our life ? we shall surely continue to remain steadfast in face of your persecution .
« መንገዳችንንም በእርግጥ የመራን ሲኾን በአላህ ላይ የማንመካ ለእኛ ምን አለን በማሰቃየታችሁም ላይ በእርግጥ እንታገሳለን ፡ ፡ በአላህም ላይ ተመኪዎች ሁሉ ይመኩ ፡ ፡ »

call to the way of your lord with wisdom and fair exhortation and reason with them in a way that is best . your lord knows best those who have strayed away from his path , and he knows best those who are rightly guided .
ወደ ጌታህ መንገድ በብልሃትና በመልካም ግሳጼ ( በለዘብታ ቃል ) ጥራ ፡ ፡ በዚያችም እርሷ መልካም በኾነችው ( ዘዴ ) ተከራከራቸው ፡ ፡ ጌታህ እርሱ ከመንገዱ የተሳሳተውን ሰው ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ቅን የኾኑትን ሰዎች ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

do you feel secure that we will not drive you back to the sea , send a fierce gale to you , and cause you to drown because of your disbelief when you would not be able to find anyone who would intercede for you with us ?
ወይስ ሌላ ጊዜ ወደ እርሱ ( ወደ ባሕር ) የሚመልሳችሁ ወዲያውም በእናንተ ላይ ብርቱን ነፋስ የሚልክ በክሕደታችሁም ምክንያት የሚያሰጥማችሁ መኾኑን ከዚያም በኛ ላይ በእርሱ ተከታይን ( ረዳትን ) ለእናንተ የማታገኙ መኾናችሁን አትፈሩምን

aliflaamra . we have sent down to you ( this book ) in order that you bring mankind from darkness to the light by the permission of your lord , to the path of the almighty , the praised .
አ.ለ.ረ ( አሊፍ ላም ራ ፤ ይህ ቁርአን ) ሰዎችን በጌታቸው ፈቃድ ከጨለማዎች ወደ ብርሃን አሸናፊ ምስጉን ወደ ኾነው ፡ ፡ ጌታ መንገድ ታወጣ ዘንድ ወዳንተ ያወረድነው መጽሐፍ ነው ፡ ፡

and give to the orphans their properties and do not substitute the defective [ of your own ] for the good [ of theirs ] . and do not consume their properties into your own .
የቲሞችንም ገንዘቦቻቸውን ስጡ ፡ ፡ መጥፎውንም በመልካሙ አትለውጡ ፡ ፡ ገንዘቦቻቸውንም ወደ ገንዘቦቻችሁ ( በመቀላቀል ) አትብሉ እርሱ ታላቅ ኃጢአት ነውና ፡ ፡

" when ye turn away from them and the things they worship other than allah , betake yourselves to the cave : your lord will shower his mercies on you and disposes of your affair towards comfort and ease . "
« እነርሱንና ያንን ከአላህ ሌላ የሚግገዙትን በተለያችሁ ጊዜ ወደ ዋሻው ተጠጉ ፡ ፡ ጌታችሁ ለእናንተ ከችሮታው ይዘረጋላችኋልና ፤ ከነገራችሁም ለእናንተ መጠቃቀሚያን ያዘጋጅላችኋል » ( ተባባሉ ) ፡ ፡

and those among you who have proclaimed their wives as their mothers and then wish to revert to the matter upon which they had uttered such an enormous word , must then free a slave before they touch one another ; this is what you are advised ; and allah is aware of your deeds .
እነዚያም ከሚስቶቻቸው እንደናቶቻችን ጀርባዎች ኹኑብን በማለት የሚምሉ ከዚያም ወደ ተናገሩት የሚመለሱ ሳይነካኩ በፊት ጫንቃን ነጻ ማውጣት በነርሱ ላይ አለባቸው ፡ ፡ እነሆ በእርሱ ትገሰጹበታለችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህም በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጥ ዓዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

allah has informed us of your state of affairs . allah and his apostle will observe your conduct , then you will be returned to the knower of the sensible and the unseen , and he will inform you concerning what you used to do . ’
ወደእነሱ በተመለሳችሁ ጊዜ ምክንያታቸውን ያቀርቡላችኋል ፡ ፡ አታመካኙ ፤ እናንተን ፈጽሞ አናምንም ፡ ፡ አላህ ከወሬዎቻችሁ በእርግጥ ነግሮናልና ፡ ፡ አላህም ሥራችሁን በእርግጥ ያያል ፡ ፡ መልክተኛውም ( እንደዚሁ ) ፤ ከዚያም ሩቅንና ቅርብን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ወደ ኾነው ( አላህ ) ትመለሳላችሁ ወዲያውም ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል በላቸው ፡ ፡

( o prophet ) , call to the way of your lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation , and reason with them in the best manner possible . surely your lord knows best who has strayed away from his path , and he also knows well those who are guided to the right way .
ወደ ጌታህ መንገድ በብልሃትና በመልካም ግሳጼ ( በለዘብታ ቃል ) ጥራ ፡ ፡ በዚያችም እርሷ መልካም በኾነችው ( ዘዴ ) ተከራከራቸው ፡ ፡ ጌታህ እርሱ ከመንገዱ የተሳሳተውን ሰው ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ቅን የኾኑትን ሰዎች ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

if any of your women commit fornication , call in four male witnesses from among yourselves against them ; if they testify to their guilt , confine them to the house until death releases them or until god gives them another way out .
እነዚያም ከሴቶቻችሁ መጥፎን ሥራ ( ዝሙትን ) የሚሠሩ በእነርሱ ላይ ከናንተ አራትን ( ወንዶች ) አስመስክሩባቸው ፡ ፡ ቢመሰክሩም ሞት እስከሚደርስባቸው ወይም አላህ ለእነርሱ መንገድን እስከሚያደርግ ድረስ በቤቶች ውሰጥ ያዙዋቸው ( ጠብቁዋቸው ) ፡ ፡

" your lord knows best , " they said , " how long you have stayed . so send one of you to the town with this money of yours to look for wholesome food and bring it for you ; but he should be careful not to let your presence known .
እንዲሁም በመካከላቸው እንዲጠያየቁ ቀሰቀስናቸው ፡ ፡ ከእነሱ አንድ ተናጋሪ « ምን ያክል ቆያችሁ » አለ ፡ ፡ « አንድን ቀን ወይም የቀንን ከፊል ቆየን » አሉ ፡ ፡ « ጌታችሁ የቆያችሁትን ጊዜ ልክ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚህችም ብራችሁ ጋር አንዳችሁን ወደ ከተማይቱ ላኩ ፡ ፡ ከምግቦቿ የትኛዋ ንጹሕ መሆኗንም ይመልከት ፡ ፡ ከእርሱም ( ከንጹሑ ) ምግብን ያምጣላችሁ ፡ ፡ ቀስም ይበል ፡ ፡ በእናንተም አንድንም ሰው አያሳውቅ » አሉ ፡ ፡
