ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

a revelation by the lord of the worlds .
ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

by the hands of the noble , virtuous ,
በጸሐፊዎቹ ( መላእክት ) እጆች ( ንጹሕ የተደረገች ) ፡ ፡

by the lote-tree of the utmost boundary ,
በመጨረሻይቱ ቁርቁራ አጠገብ ፤

and by the creation of the male and the female .
ወንድንና ሴትን በፈጠረውም ( አምላክ እምላለሁ ) ፡ ፡

by the heaven , holding mansions of the stars ,
የቡርጆች ባለቤት በኾነችው ሰማይ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

nay , i swear by the places of the stars -
በከዋክብትም መጥለቂያዎች እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

i do not need to swear by the setting of the stars
በከዋክብትም መጥለቂያዎች እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

of power , given a rank by the owner of the throne
የኀይል ባለቤት በዙፋኑ ባለ ቤት ዘንድ ባለሟል የኾነ ፡ ፡

by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers ,
በቀስታ መምዘዝንም መዘዦች በኾኑት ፤

never be misled by the bustle of the faithless in the towns .
የእነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች በአገሮች መንፈላሰስ አያታልህ ፡ ፡

endowed with power and held in honour by the lord of the throne --
የኀይል ባለቤት በዙፋኑ ባለ ቤት ዘንድ ባለሟል የኾነ ፡ ፡

and indeed this qur an ’ has been sent down by the lord of the creation .
እርሱም ( ቁርኣን ) በእርግጥ ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

by ( the mystery of ) the creation of male and female ; -
ወንድንና ሴትን በፈጠረውም ( አምላክ እምላለሁ ) ፡ ፡

no ! i swear by the lord of the easts and wests , surely we are able
በምሥራቆችና በምዕራቦችም ጌታ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡ እኛ በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን ፡ ፡

be not deceived by the [ uninhibited ] movement of the disbelievers throughout the land .
የእነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች በአገሮች መንፈላሰስ አያታልህ ፡ ፡

and by the verses ( of the quran ) that separate the right from the wrong .
መለየትን ለይዎች በኾኑትም ፣

i do not need to swear by the lord of the eastern and western regions that we have certainly all the power
በምሥራቆችና በምዕራቦችም ጌታ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡ እኛ በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን ፡ ፡
