i call to witness those who are sent consecutively ,
ተከታታይ ኾነው በተላኩት ፣

they said , " we are sent to a sinful people .
« እኛ አመጸኞች ወደ ኾኑ ሕዝቦች ተልከናል » አሉት ፡ ፡

they replied : ' we are sent to sinful nation .
« እኛ አመጸኞች ወደ ኾኑ ሕዝቦች ተልከናል » አሉት ፡ ፡

they replied : ' we are sent to a sinful nation ,
( እነርሱም ) አሉ ፡ - « እኛ ወደ አመጸኞች ሕዝቦች ተልከናል ፡ ፡ »

they said : verily we are sent unto a people , guilty .
( እነርሱም ) አሉ ፡ - « እኛ ወደ አመጸኞች ሕዝቦች ተልከናል ፡ ፡ »

they said : surely we are sent towards a guilty people ,
« እኛ አመጸኞች ወደ ኾኑ ሕዝቦች ተልከናል » አሉት ፡ ፡

they said , “ we are sent to a people guilty of sin . ”
( እነርሱም ) አሉ ፡ - « እኛ ወደ አመጸኞች ሕዝቦች ተልከናል ፡ ፡ »

the day when the sky is cleft with clouds , and the angels are sent down in streams .
ሰማይም በደመና የምትቀደድበትንና መላእክትም መወረድን የሚወርድበትን ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

on a day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank ,
ሰማይም በደመና የምትቀደድበትንና መላእክትም መወረድን የሚወርድበትን ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

on that day , the heaven is split asunder with clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty ,
ሰማይም በደመና የምትቀደድበትንና መላእክትም መወረድን የሚወርድበትን ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
ለመኳንንትም ቢሆን፥ ክፉ የሚያደርጉትን ለመቅጣት በጎም የሚያደርጉትን ለማመስገን ከእርሱ ተልከዋልና ተገዙ።

we sent no warner to any town , without its affluent saying , “ we reject what you are sent with . ”
በከተማም አስፈራሪን አልላክንም ፡ ፡ ነዋሪዎችዋ « እኛ በዚያ በርሱ በተላካችሁበት ከሓዲዎች ነን » ያሉ ቢኾኑ እንጂ ፡ ፡

and we never sent a warner to a town but those who led lives in ease in it said : we are surely disbelievers in what you are sent with .
በከተማም አስፈራሪን አልላክንም ፡ ፡ ነዋሪዎችዋ « እኛ በዚያ በርሱ በተላካችሁበት ከሓዲዎች ነን » ያሉ ቢኾኑ እንጂ ፡ ፡

and when he beheld that their hands reached it not he misliked them , and ccnceived a fear of them . they said fear not verily we are sent unto the people of lut .
እጆቻቸውም ወደ እርሱ የማይደርሱ መኾነቸውን ባየ ጊዜ ሸሻቸው ፡ ፡ ከነሱም ፍርሃት ተሰማው ፡ ፡ « አትፍራ እኛ ወደ ሉጥ ሕዝቦች ተልከናልና » አሉት ፡ ፡

( they are sent ) to break the power of the unbelievers or disgrace them and make them return after having lost all hope . "
( ድልን ያጎናጸፋችሁ ) ከእነዚያ ከካዱት ከፊልን ሊቆርጥ ( ሊያጠፋ ) ወይም ሊያዋርዳቸውና ያፈሩ ኾነው እንዲመለሱ ነው ፡ ፡

it is god who has created the seven heavens and a like number of earths . his commandments are sent between them , so that you would know that god has power over all things and that his knowledge encompasses all .
አላህ ያ ሰባትን ሰማያት የፈጠረ ነው ፡ ፡ ከምድርም መሰላቸውን ( ፈጥሮአል ) ፤ በመካከላቸው ትእዛዙ ይወርዳል ፡ ፡ አላህ በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ መኾኑን አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ በዕውቀት ያካበበ መኾኑን በዕውቀት ያካበበ መኾኑን ታወቁ ዘንድ ( ይህንን አሳወቃችሁ ) ፡ ፡

by oath of those that are sent , one after the other . ( the verses of the holy qur an ’ or the angels or the winds ) .
ተከታታይ ኾነው በተላኩት ፣

the warner said : what ! even though bring you a better guidance than that which ye found your fathers upon they said : verily in that wherewith ye are sent we are disbelievers .
( አስፈራሪው ) « አባቶቻችሁን በእርሱ ላይ ከአገኛችሁበት ይበልጥ ቀጥተኛን ( ሃይማኖት ) ባመጣላችሁም ? » አላቸው ፡ ፡ « እኛ በእርሱ በተላካችሁበት ነገር ከሓዲዎች ነን » አሉ ፡ ፡

but when he saw that their hands were not extended towards it , he deemed them strange and conceived fear of them . they said : fear not , surely we are sent to lut 's people .
እጆቻቸውም ወደ እርሱ የማይደርሱ መኾነቸውን ባየ ጊዜ ሸሻቸው ፡ ፡ ከነሱም ፍርሃት ተሰማው ፡ ፡ « አትፍራ እኛ ወደ ሉጥ ሕዝቦች ተልከናልና » አሉት ፡ ፡

( the warner ) said : what ! even if i bring to you a better guide than that on which you found your fathers ? they said : surely we are unbelievers in that with which you are sent .
( አስፈራሪው ) « አባቶቻችሁን በእርሱ ላይ ከአገኛችሁበት ይበልጥ ቀጥተኛን ( ሃይማኖት ) ባመጣላችሁም ? » አላቸው ፡ ፡ « እኛ በእርሱ በተላካችሁበት ነገር ከሓዲዎች ነን » አሉ ፡ ፡
