እስሩ የመጣውም በዚሁ ማጭበርበር ጉዳይ ላይ ዜጎች ሰልፍ በመውጣታቸው ነው፡፡

እነሆም በመንገዲቱ ላይ ቀጥ ባሉ ኖሮ ብዙ ዝናምን ባጠጣናቸው ነበር ( ማለትም ተወረደልኝ ) ፡ ፡

if they had followed the right path , we would have provided them with abundant rain --
እነሆም በመንገዲቱ ላይ ቀጥ ባሉ ኖሮ ብዙ ዝናምን ባጠጣናቸው ነበር ( ማለትም ተወረደልኝ ) ፡ ፡

it will be a day when the wrongdoer will bite his hands , saying , ‘ i wish i had followed the apostle s way ’ !
በዳይም « ከመልክተኛው ጋር ቀጥተኛን መንገድ ይዤ በኾነ ዋ ምኞቴ ! » እያለ ( በጸጸት ) ሁለት እጆቹን የሚነክስበትን ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

to pharaoh and his nobles , but they followed the command of pharaoh , and the command of pharaoh was not wise .
ወደ ፈርዖንና ወደ ሰዎቹ ( ላክነው ) ፡ ፡ የፈርዖንንም ነገር ( ሕዝቦቹ ) ተከተሉ ፡ ፡ የፈርዖን ነገርም ቀጥተኛ አልነበረም ፡ ፡

some of us are muslims and some of us have deviated from the truth . whoever has embraced islam has followed the right guidance .
« እኛም ከእኛ ውስጥ ሙስሊሞች አልሉ ፡ ፡ ከእኛም ውስጥ በዳዮች አልሉ ፡ ፡ የሰለሙም ሰዎች እነዚያ ቅንን መንገድ መረጡ ፡ ፡ »

so they returned with grace and bounty from allah . no harm touched them ; and they followed the good pleasure of allah .
ከአላህም በኾነ ጸጋና ችሮታ ክፉ ነገር ያልነካቸው ኾነው ተመለሱ ፡ ፡ የአላህንም ውዴታ ተከተሉ ፤ አላህም የታላቅ ችሮታ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡

towards firaun and his court members , thereupon they followed the commands of firaun ; and the work of firaun was not proper .
ወደ ፈርዖንና ወደ ሰዎቹ ( ላክነው ) ፡ ፡ የፈርዖንንም ነገር ( ሕዝቦቹ ) ተከተሉ ፡ ፡ የፈርዖን ነገርም ቀጥተኛ አልነበረም ፡ ፡

and such were a 'ad . they denied the revelations of their lord and flouted his messengers and followed the command of every froward potentate .
ይህች ( ነገድ ) ዓድ ናት ፡ ፡ በጌታቸው ታምራት ካዱ ፡ ፡ መልክተኞቹንም አመጹ ፤ የኃያል ሞገደኛን ሁሉ ትዕዛዝም ተከተሉ ፡ ፡

and such were ' aad . they gainsaid the signs of their lord , and disobeyed his apostles , and followed the bidding of any tyrant froward .
ይህች ( ነገድ ) ዓድ ናት ፡ ፡ በጌታቸው ታምራት ካዱ ፡ ፡ መልክተኞቹንም አመጹ ፤ የኃያል ሞገደኛን ሁሉ ትዕዛዝም ተከተሉ ፡ ፡

and these are the a ad they ’ – denied the signs of their lord and disobeyed his noble messengers and followed the commands of every stubborn disobedient .
ይህች ( ነገድ ) ዓድ ናት ፡ ፡ በጌታቸው ታምራት ካዱ ፡ ፡ መልክተኞቹንም አመጹ ፤ የኃያል ሞገደኛን ሁሉ ትዕዛዝም ተከተሉ ፡ ፡

he answered : " i saw what the people did not see . so i took a handful of dust from the trail of the messenger , and i flung it ( into the fire ) .
ያላዩትን ነገር አየሁ ፡ ፡ ከመልክተኛው ( ከፈረሱ ኮቴ ) ዱካም ጭብጥ አፈርን ዘገንኩ ፡ ፡ ( በቅርጹ ላይ ) ጣልኳትም ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁም ነፍሴ ሸለመችልኝ » አለ ፡ ፡

our lord , we have believed in what you revealed and have followed the messenger jesus , so register us among the witnesses [ to truth ] . "
« ጌታችን ሆይ ! ባወረድኸው አመንን ፤ መልክተኛውንም ተከተልን ፤ ከመስካሪዎችም ጋር መዝግበን » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

and they returned with grace and bounty from allah : no harm ever touched them : for they followed the good pleasure of allah : and allah is the lord of bounties unbounded .
ከአላህም በኾነ ጸጋና ችሮታ ክፉ ነገር ያልነካቸው ኾነው ተመለሱ ፡ ፡ የአላህንም ውዴታ ተከተሉ ፤ አላህም የታላቅ ችሮታ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡

had they followed the laws of the old and new testaments and what was revealed to them from their lord , they would have received our bounties from above and below in abundance . some of them are modest people , but many of them commit the worst sins .
እነርሱም ተውራትንና ኢንጂልን ከጌታቸውም ወደእነሱ የተወረደውን መጽሐፍ ባቋቋሙ ( በሠሩበት ) ኖሮ ከበላያቸውና ከእግሮቻቸው ሥር በተመገቡ ነበር ፡ ፡ ከእነሱ ውስጥ ትክክለኞች ሕዝቦች አልሉ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ብዙዎቹ የሚሠሩት ነገር ከፋ !

and so we have made you a median nation , in order that you will be a witness above the people , and that the messenger be a witness above you . we did not change the direction that you were facing except that we might know who followed the messenger from him who turned on both his heels .
እንደዚሁም ( እንደመራናችሁ ) በሰዎች ላይ መስካሪዎች ልትሆኑና መልክተኛውም በናንተ ላይ መስካሪ ይሆን ዘንድ ምርጥ ሕዝቦች አደረግናችሁ ፡ ፡ ያችንም በርሷ ላይ የነበርክባትን አቅጣጫ መልክተኛውን የሚከተለውን ሰው ወደ ክህደት ከሚመለሰው ሰው ልናውቅ ( ልንገልጽ ) እንጅ ቂብላ አላደረግናትም ፡ ፡ እርሷም በነዚያ አላህ በመራቸው ሰዎች ላይ በስተቀር በእርግጥ ከባድ ናት ፡ ፡ አላህም እምነታችሁን ( ስግደታችሁን ) የሚያጠፋ አይደለም ፤ አላህ ለሰዎች በጣም ርኅሩኅ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡

and if they had followed the teachings of the torah and the gospel , and what has been sent down to them by their lord , they would surely have enjoyed ( blessings ) from the heavens above and the earth below their feet .
እነርሱም ተውራትንና ኢንጂልን ከጌታቸውም ወደእነሱ የተወረደውን መጽሐፍ ባቋቋሙ ( በሠሩበት ) ኖሮ ከበላያቸውና ከእግሮቻቸው ሥር በተመገቡ ነበር ፡ ፡ ከእነሱ ውስጥ ትክክለኞች ሕዝቦች አልሉ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ብዙዎቹ የሚሠሩት ነገር ከፋ !

and it will be said : call your associate-gods . so they will call upon them , but they will not answer them , and they shall see the punishment ; would that they had followed the right way !
« ( ለአላህ ) የምታጋሯቸውንም ጥሩ » ይባላሉ ፤ ይጠሯቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ግን ለእነርሱ አይመልሱላቸውም ፡ ፡ ቅጣቱንም ያያሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ይመሩ በነበሩ ኖሮ ( አያዩትም ነበር ) ፡ ፡

and when there comes to them news of security or fear they spread it abroad ; and if they had referred it to the apostle and to those in authority among them , those among them who can search out the knowledge of it would have known it , and were it not for the grace of allah upon you and his mercy , you would have certainly followed the shaitan save a few
ከጸጥታ ወይም ከፍርሃት አንዳች ( ወሬ ) በመጣላቸውም ጊዜ እርሱን ያጋንናሉ ፡ ፡ ወደ መልክተኛውና ከእነርሱ ወደ ትዕዛዙ ባለቤቶች ( ወደ ዐዋቂዎቹ ) በመለሱት ኖሮ እነዚያ ከእነርሱ ( ነገሩን ) የሚያውጣጡት ባወቁት ነበር ፡ ፡ በእናንተም ላይ የአላህ ችሮታና እዝነቱ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ከጥቂቶች በስተቀር ሰይጣንን በተከተላችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡
