ይሠሩት ከነበሩት ነገር ሁሉ ፡ ፡

and indeed they used to say :
እነርሱም ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) በእርግጥ ይሉ ነበሩ ፡ -

« ይህ ያ በእርሱ ትጠራጠሩበት የነበራችሁት ነው » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

" go to what you used to deny ;
« ወደዚያ በእርሱ ታስተባብሉ ወደ ነበራችሁት ( ቅጣት ) አዝግሙ ፡ ፡

and used to seek forgiveness before dawn .
በሌሊቱ መጨረሻዎችም እነርሱ ምሕረትን ይለምናሉ ፡ ፡

and we used to deny the day of recompense
« በፍርዱ ቀንም እናስተባብል ነበርን ፡ ፡

this is the fire which you used to deny .
ይህቺ ያቺ በእርሷ ታስተባብሉባት የነበራችሁት እሳት ናት ፡ ፡

and they used to persist in immense wrongdoing .
በታላቅ ኀጢአትም ላይ ይዘወትሩ ነበሩና ፡ ፡

" and we used to belie the day of recompense
« በፍርዱ ቀንም እናስተባብል ነበርን ፡ ፡

and they used to persist in the great violation ,
በታላቅ ኀጢአትም ላይ ይዘወትሩ ነበሩና ፡ ፡

" but we used to talk vanities with vain talkers ;
« ከዘባራቂዎቹም ጋር እንዘባርቅ ነበርን ፡ ፡

" truly this is what ye used to doubt ! "
« ይህ ያ በእርሱ ትጠራጠሩበት የነበራችሁት ነው » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

but those who believe and do good deeds are people of paradise , and shall live there forever .
እነዚያም ያመኑት በጎ ሥራዎችንም የሠሩት እነዚያ የገነት ጓዶች ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በውስጧ ዘላለም ዘውታሪዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

only those people who believe and do good deeds , will be the dwellers of the garden and live there for ever .
እነዚያም ያመኑት በጎ ሥራዎችንም የሠሩት እነዚያ የገነት ጓዶች ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በውስጧ ዘላለም ዘውታሪዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

" nor we used to feed al-miskin ( the poor ) ;
« ለድኾችም የምናበላ አልነበርንም ፡ ፡

" verily ! this is that whereof you used to doubt ! "
« ይህ ያ በእርሱ ትጠራጠሩበት የነበራችሁት ነው » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡
