but that which ye have already hold fast till i come.
ነገር ግን እስክመጣ ድረስ ያላችሁን ጠብቁ።

do not rise up against allah , i come to you with clear authority .
« በአላህም ላይ አትኩሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ ግልጽ የኾነን አስረጅ ያመጣሁላችሁ ነኝና ( በማለት መጣላቸው ) ፡ ፡

yet man says : " when i am dead , will i come to life again ? "
ሰውም « በሞትኩ ጊዜ ወደፊት ሕያው ኾኜ ( ከመቃብር ) እወጣለሁን » ይላል ፡ ፡

do not set up another god , along with god . i come from him to warn you plainly .
ከአላህም ጋር ሌላን አምላክ አታድርጉ ፡ ፡ እኔ ለእናንተ ከእርሱ ( የተላክሁ ) ግልጽ አስፈራሪ ነኝና ፡ ፡

and , “ do not exalt yourselves above god . i come to you with clear authority .
« በአላህም ላይ አትኩሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ ግልጽ የኾነን አስረጅ ያመጣሁላችሁ ነኝና ( በማለት መጣላቸው ) ፡ ፡

" and be not arrogant as against allah : for i come to you with authority manifest .
« በአላህም ላይ አትኩሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ ግልጽ የኾነን አስረጅ ያመጣሁላችሁ ነኝና ( በማለት መጣላቸው ) ፡ ፡

and , ' rise not up against god ; behold , i come to you with a clear authority ,
« በአላህም ላይ አትኩሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ ግልጽ የኾነን አስረጅ ያመጣሁላችሁ ነኝና ( በማለት መጣላቸው ) ፡ ፡

and when i come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will i send to bring your liberality unto jerusalem.
ስመጣም ማናቸውም ቢሆኑ የታመኑ የሚመስሉአችሁ ሰዎች ቸርነታችሁን ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ያደርሱ ዘንድ ደብዳቤ ሰጥቼ እልካቸዋለሁ፤

and i knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to israel, therefore am i come baptizing with water.
እኔም አላውቀውም ነበር፥ ዳሩ ግን ለእስራኤል ይገለጥ ዘንድ ስለዚህ በውኃ እያጠመቅሁ እኔ መጣሁ።

and, behold, i come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
እነሆ፥ በቶሎ እመጣለሁ፥ ለእያንዳንዱም እንደ ሥራው መጠን እከፍል ዘንድ ዋጋዬ ከእኔ ጋር አለ።

he was not long in coming , and said : ' i know what you do not know . i come to you from sheba with certain news .
( ወፉ ) ዕሩቅ ያልኾነንም ጊዜ ቆዬ ፡ ፡ አለም « ያላወቅከውን ነገር አወቅኩ ፡ ፡ ከሰበእም እርግጠኛን ወሬ አመጣሁልህ ፡ ፡

but he was not long in coming , and reported : " i have been around where you have not been . i come from saba with positive news .
( ወፉ ) ዕሩቅ ያልኾነንም ጊዜ ቆዬ ፡ ፡ አለም « ያላወቅከውን ነገር አወቅኩ ፡ ፡ ከሰበእም እርግጠኛን ወሬ አመጣሁልህ ፡ ፡

and i come confessing to the taurat that was before me , and to allow unto you some of that which was forbidden unto you . so and i have come unto you with a sign from your lord wherefore fear allah and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »

i come to fulfill [ the prediction ] of the torah which preceded me and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you and i come to you with a sign from your lord . so fear god and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »

but he was not long in coming , and he said : i have found out ( a thing ) that thou apprehendest not , and i come unto thee from sheba with sure tidings .
( ወፉ ) ዕሩቅ ያልኾነንም ጊዜ ቆዬ ፡ ፡ አለም « ያላወቅከውን ነገር አወቅኩ ፡ ፡ ከሰበእም እርግጠኛን ወሬ አመጣሁልህ ፡ ፡

and ( i come ) confirming that which was before me of the torah , and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you . i come unto you with a sign from your lord , so keep your duty to allah and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »
