it is he who has sent among the unlettered people a noble messenger from themselves, who recites his verses to them and purifies them, and bestows them the knowledge of the book and wisdom; and indeed before this, they were in open error.
하나님이 그들 백성중 무학자인 무함마드를 한 선지자로 보내 어 그로 하여금 하나님의 말씀을 낭송하고 그들을 청결케 하며 그 성서와 지혜를 가르치도록 하였 나니 실로 이전의 그들은 방황하 고 있었노라

"those who follow the messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); he releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. so it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."
그들은 예언자이며 무학자선지자를 따르는 이들이라 그들 은 그들의 기록서인 구악과 신약 에서 그를 발견하리라 그분은 그 들에게 옳은 것을 명령하였고 그 룻된 것을 금기하였으며 또 그들 에게 성결한 것을 허락하시고 그 들의 무거운 짐과 그들의 멍에들 을 벗겨 주시니 그분을 믿고 그분을 존경하며 그분을 도와 그분에 게 계시된 빛을 따르는 이들은 번성하리라
