and all that which they used to earn availed them not.
ئه‌و کارو کرده‌وه‌ی که ده‌یانکرد فریایان نه‌که‌وت و (له تۆڵه‌ی خوایی نه‌یپاڕاستن).

so nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn.

his substance availed him not, nor that which he earned.

those before them had also said so, and yet nothing of what they did availed them in the least.
به‌ڕاستی ئه‌وانه‌ی پێش ئه‌مانیش شتی وایان ده‌وت، وه‌نه‌بێت ئه‌و کاروکرده‌وه‌ی که ده‌یانکرد فریایان که‌وتبێت و سوودی پێگه‌یاندبن.

surely those who were before them said it, yet there availed them not that which they had been earning.
به‌ڕاستی ئه‌وانه‌ی پێش ئه‌مانیش شتی وایان ده‌وت، وه‌نه‌بێت ئه‌و کاروکرده‌وه‌ی که ده‌یانکرد فریایان که‌وتبێت و سوودی پێگه‌یاندبن.

verily, those before them said it, yet (all) that they had earned availed them not.
به‌ڕاستی ئه‌وانه‌ی پێش ئه‌مانیش شتی وایان ده‌وت، وه‌نه‌بێت ئه‌و کاروکرده‌وه‌ی که ده‌یانکرد فریایان که‌وتبێت و سوودی پێگه‌یاندبن.

and the companions of the ramparts call to men whose marks they recognize: 'neither your amassing nor your pride have availed you.
ئه‌وانه‌ی که له‌سه‌ر شوێنه به‌رزه‌کانن بانگی که‌سانێک ده‌که‌ن (له دۆزه‌خیان) که به‌ڕواڵه‌ت و سیمایاندا ده‌یانناسن و پێیان ده‌ڵێن: (خۆ ئیستا لاتان ڕوونه‌) که دارو ده‌سته‌و هێزو توانا و ماڵ و سامانتان فریاتان نه‌که‌وت؟! هه‌روه‌ها فیز و لووت به‌رزی و خۆ فش کردنه‌وه‌تان به‌هاناتانه‌وه نه‌هات!!

and the dwellers on the battlements shall call to certain men they know by their sign: 'your amassing has not availed you, neither your waxing proud.
ئه‌وانه‌ی که له‌سه‌ر شوێنه به‌رزه‌کانن بانگی که‌سانێک ده‌که‌ن (له دۆزه‌خیان) که به‌ڕواڵه‌ت و سیمایاندا ده‌یانناسن و پێیان ده‌ڵێن: (خۆ ئیستا لاتان ڕوونه‌) که دارو ده‌سته‌و هێزو توانا و ماڵ و سامانتان فریاتان نه‌که‌وت؟! هه‌روه‌ها فیز و لووت به‌رزی و خۆ فش کردنه‌وه‌تان به‌هاناتانه‌وه نه‌هات!!

and we did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. and they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than allah when there came the command of your lord. and they did not increase them in other than ruin.
ئێمه سته‌ممان لێنه‌کردن و به‌ڵکو هه‌ر خۆیان سته‌میان له خۆیان کرد، ئه‌وسا ئه‌و په‌رستراوانه‌یان که له‌جیاتی خوا هاواریان لێ ده‌کردن، فریای هیچ شتێکیان نه‌که‌وتن کاتێك فه‌رمانی په‌روه‌ردگاری تۆ هات، هیچیان بۆ زیاد نه‌کردن جگه له تیاچوون نه‌بێت.

and the fellows of the heights will cry unto the men whom they would recognise by their mark, and say: your multitude availed you naught nor that over which ye were wont to be stiff-necked.
ئه‌وانه‌ی که له‌سه‌ر شوێنه به‌رزه‌کانن بانگی که‌سانێک ده‌که‌ن (له دۆزه‌خیان) که به‌ڕواڵه‌ت و سیمایاندا ده‌یانناسن و پێیان ده‌ڵێن: (خۆ ئیستا لاتان ڕوونه‌) که دارو ده‌سته‌و هێزو توانا و ماڵ و سامانتان فریاتان نه‌که‌وت؟! هه‌روه‌ها فیز و لووت به‌رزی و خۆ فش کردنه‌وه‌تان به‌هاناتانه‌وه نه‌هات!!

and we wronged them not but they wronged themselves. so their gods, whom they called upon beside allah, availed them not in aught, when there came the decree of thy lord, and they added unto them naught but perdition.
ئێمه سته‌ممان لێنه‌کردن و به‌ڵکو هه‌ر خۆیان سته‌میان له خۆیان کرد، ئه‌وسا ئه‌و په‌رستراوانه‌یان که له‌جیاتی خوا هاواریان لێ ده‌کردن، فریای هیچ شتێکیان نه‌که‌وتن کاتێك فه‌رمانی په‌روه‌ردگاری تۆ هات، هیچیان بۆ زیاد نه‌کردن جگه له تیاچوون نه‌بێت.

allah citeth an example for those who disbelieve: the wife of noah and the wife of lot, who were under two of our righteous slaves yet betrayed them so that they (the husbands) availed them naught against allah and it was said (unto them): enter the fire along with those who enter.
خوا نموونه‌ی هێناوه‌ته‌وه به ژنی نوح و لوط بۆ ئه‌وانه‌ی که بێ باوه‌ڕ بوون، که ئه‌و دوو ئافره‌ته هاوسه‌ری دوو به‌نده‌ی چاك و پاکی ئێمه بوون، که‌چی خیانه‌تیان لێ کردن (باوه‌ڕیان پێیان نه‌بوو، غه‌یبه‌تیان ده‌کردن، گاڵته‌یان پێده‌کردن...)، ئیتر ئه‌و پێغه‌مبه‌رانه فریای هاوسه‌ره‌کانیان نه‌که‌وتن، له قیامه‌تدا به‌و ژنانه ده‌وترێت: بچنه ناو ئاگری دۆزه‌خه‌وه له‌گه‌ڵ ئه‌وانه‌دا که ده‌چنه ناوی.
